聽說是獲得語言信息以及語感的最主要途徑,是交際活動的重要語言技能。我國英語聽說教學相對落后,教師應調動學生的學習熱情,提高課堂效率和學生的聽說能力,根據教學目標、環(huán)境、不同學生的情況進行精心設計,引導學生用英語對話互動,從中鍛煉和提高。
一、創(chuàng)設情境
案例:Unit 22 Lesson 1 “Global Warming”
Step 1 Daily Report
小組討論后,學生代表匯報有關世界地球日的知識。
Step 2 Lead-in
播放一段關于全球變暖的視頻,學生討論回答下列問題:① What can you see in the video? ② Is carbon dioxide good for the Earth? What is the result of burning fossil fuels that release carbon dioxide? ③ What is global warming? ④ What are the effects of global warming?
Step 3 Listening
播放兩遍課文錄音,學生討論回答下列問題:① What cause the global warming?What are they? ② Are greenhouse gases necessary for life on Earth? Why?
Step 4 Translation
小組討論,翻譯句子,回答下列問題:①全球變暖的原因是什么?②全球變暖有哪些影響?③我們應該怎樣阻止全球變暖?
Step 5 Demonstration
小組討論后,學生代表總結本組的觀點。老師及時點評。
Step 6 Summary
老師展示一段范文,學生朗讀后,觀看一段環(huán)保的公益廣告視頻。
Step 7 Homework
以“Making Every Day Earth Day”為題寫一篇短文,詞數150個左右。
二、結合實際生活,拓展課外知識
案例:北師大版選修七Unit 21 Lesson 3 “Epidemics Explained”
Step 1 Revision
利用圖片,運用關鍵詞,學生小組進行課文復述,內容包括:What is an epidemic? How much do you know about epidemics? What should we do to prevent them?
Step 2 Listening
播放一段H7N9禽流感的英文新聞,并設置短文單詞填空,學生聽兩遍后完成任務。
Step 3 Discussion
學生小組討論,分享聽力答案,并找出重要的詞匯,小組代表向全班匯報并相互交流。
Step 4 Listening
重播一遍H7N9禽流感的英文新聞,要求學生翻譯三個句子并回答:什么是H7N9禽流感?H7N9禽流感的癥狀是什么?如何預防H7N9禽流感?
Step 5 Talking
學生小組討論,各小組代表向全班展示一段關于H7N9禽流感的英文短文,分享成果。
Step 6 Imitation
老師展示一段范文,讓學生跟讀模仿。
Step 7 Homework
Write a report based on your discussion, using the following guidance.
Para1: Translate the questions into English.
Para2: Describe the symptoms of avian influenza H7N9.
Para3: Give your opinion on how to prevent avian influenza H7N9 and the result of the discussion.
三、采用調查法
案例3:北師大版選修八Unit 23 Lesson 1 “Living in a Community”.課前布置學生預習并填表(見表1)。
Step 1 Discussion
各小組討論,向全班展示調查結果。(見表2)
Step 2 Lead-in
What kind of community do you live in? How do you like your community?
Do you get along well with your neighbor? Have you experienced the conflict with the neighbor? What would you do to solve it?
Yang Ming experienced a conflict with his neighbor. What's the conflict? What's the result?
Step 3 Listening
播放兩遍課文錄音,回答下列問題:
Does Yang Ming own any of his furniture? How do you know?
How did Yang Ming keep his neighbors up at night?
Why did a neighbor think was a bad influence on his son?
Step 4 Talking
各小組討論,并進行口語對話訓練。
Step 5 Listening
播放兩遍課文錄音,完成課文語法填空。
Step 6 Discussion
各小組對課文語法填空討論,之后小組代表發(fā)言,其它小組進行補充。教師總結。
Step 7 Work in pairs
各小組獨立完成,并向全班表演。
