From July 21to 24, the 4Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) was held in Chongqing. As the Guest Country of Honor, Mexico came to Chongqing to participate in the WCIFIT, leading a delegation of 24 companies and 60 business representatives to seek cooperation for common development.

7月21日至24日，第四屆中國西部國際投資貿(mào)易洽談會在重慶舉行，墨西哥作為本屆活動的主賓國，攜24家墨西哥企業(yè)、60名墨企代表來渝參展，尋求合作、共促發(fā)展。

On July 21, the China (Chongqing)-Mexico Investment and Trade Fair was held in Chongqing International Expo Center, co-hosted by the Embassy of Mexico in China, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China(MEXCHAM), the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government, and the Chongqing Yuzhong District People’s Government. Attendees included H.E. Jesús Seade Kuri, Mexico Ambassador to China; Víctor Cadena, Vice President of MEXCHAM; Zhang Hongxing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Liangjiang New Area; Zhao Shiqing, Secretary of the CPC Yuzhong District Committee; Deng Guanghuai, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yuzhong District Committee and Vice District Mayor of Yuzhong; and Gong Zhiyong, Deputy Director-General of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce.Zhou Yi, Deputy Director-General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government moderated the event.

21日，由墨西哥駐華大使館、中國墨西哥商會、重慶市商務(wù)委、市政府外辦、渝中區(qū)人民政府共同主辦的中國（重慶）—墨西哥投資貿(mào)易洽談會在重慶國際博覽中心舉行。墨西哥駐華大使施雅德、中國墨西哥商會副執(zhí)行主席維克多，市委常委、兩江新區(qū)黨工委書記張鴻星，渝中區(qū)委書記趙世慶，渝中區(qū)委常委、副區(qū)長鄧光懷，市商務(wù)委副主任龔志勇出席。會議由市政府外辦副主任周毅主持。

The China (Chongqing)-Mexico Investment and Trade Fair Held in Chongqing International Expo Center中國（重慶）—墨西哥投資貿(mào)易洽談會在重慶國際博覽中心舉行。

Chongqing has long been committed to contributing to China-Mexico exchanges, actively promoting the bilateral economic interactions and trade, and encouraging investment and interactions between enterprises of the two sides, said Zhang Hongxing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Liangjiang New Area.From January to May this year, the total import and export between Chongqing and Mexico reached RMB5.85 billion, up by 20.8%.Mexico has become the largest trading partner of Chongqing in Latin America. Chongqing encourages and greatly supports local companies to start business and make investments in Mexico. This event is an ideal opportunity for the two sides to enhance communication, strengthen cooperation and join hands for win-win development.

“China is Mexico’s No.1 trading partner in the Asia Pacific region and the second largest trading partner in the world. In 2021, Mexico-China bilateral relationship reached a historic high with a bilateral trade of over USD110 billion”, said H.E. Jesús Seade Kuri, Mexico Ambassador to China. Mexico has abundant mineral resources and complete categories of industries, strong in petrochemical, mining,metallurgy, and manufacturing. Moreover, Mexico has advanced technologies in areas including computer and ICT, integrated circuits and car parts. Such advantages have made Mexico a natural partner with great complementarities to Chongqing, foreseeing huge cooperation potentials. He hopes that this event can bring the economic cooperation,trade and interactions between Mexico and Chongqing to new heights.

“This year’s Mexican business delegation is the largest one in history, representing areas such as legal services, trade, food &beverage, fin nce, logistics, notarial services, culture, consulting, IT, sea products, car parts, rubber, porcelain, and industrial parks”, said Víctor Cadena, Vice President of MEXCHAM. As many Mexican companies have established themselves in Chongqing, MEXCHAM is ready to help more Mexican enterprises to invest and do business in Chongqing.Of course, Chongqing companies are mostly welcomed to invest in Mexico.

During the Fair, companies like Nemak Chongqing Automotive Components Co., Ltd. and ICC CERAMIC shared insights and experience, exploring and expanding cooperation for win-win results so as to lay a solid foundation for wider collaborations.

市委常委、兩江新區(qū)黨工委書記張鴻星表示，重慶長期致力于服務(wù)中墨兩國交往，積極推動與墨西哥經(jīng)貿(mào)合作，雙方企業(yè)相互投資、密切往來。今年1—5月，重慶與墨西哥進出口總額58.5億元，增長20.8%。墨西哥已成為重慶在拉美地區(qū)第一大貿(mào)易伙伴。重慶積極鼓勵和大力支持渝企布局墨西哥、投資墨西哥，希望雙方以此為契機，加強溝通對接、深化交流合作、促進發(fā)展共贏。

“中國是墨西哥在亞太地區(qū)最大的貿(mào)易合作伙伴，同時也是我們在全球范圍內(nèi)的第二大貿(mào)易伙伴。2021年，墨中雙邊關(guān)系達到歷史新高點，雙邊貿(mào)易往來超過1100億美元。”墨西哥駐華大使施雅德表示，墨西哥礦產(chǎn)資源豐富、工業(yè)門類齊全，石化、礦業(yè)、冶金、制造業(yè)發(fā)達，在計算機通訊、集成電路、汽車零部件等領(lǐng)域技術(shù)先進，與重慶互補性強、合作潛力大。希望通過此次活動，推動墨西哥與重慶經(jīng)貿(mào)合作與交流邁上新臺階。

“此次參展的墨西哥商業(yè)代表團是歷史上規(guī)模最大的代表團，涵蓋了法律服務(wù)、貿(mào)易、食物與飲料、金融、物流、公證、文化、咨詢、IT、海產(chǎn)品、汽車零件、橡膠、陶瓷以及工業(yè)園等?！敝袊鞲缟虝眻?zhí)行主席維克多表示，目前，有很多墨西哥企業(yè)已經(jīng)扎根重慶，墨西哥商會希望促成越來越多的墨西哥企業(yè)到重慶投資興業(yè)。同時，也歡迎更多的重慶企業(yè)來墨西哥進行投資。

洽談會期間，諾瑪科（重慶）汽車零部件有限公司、廣東新風(fēng)景陶瓷有限公司等企業(yè)積極交流、互通經(jīng)驗，進一步拓展合作領(lǐng)域，深化合作共贏，為更廣闊合作打下堅實基礎(chǔ)。
