85 years ago, on December 9th, 1935, thousands of Beijing students held anti-Japanese and national salvation demonstrations against the autonomy of North China and Japanese imperialism, demanded the preservation of the integrity of Chinese territory, and set off a new climax of national anti-Japanese and national salvation. On this special day, many middle schools in Beijing held all kinds activities in memory of Patriotism of students.Beijing 101 middle school held a choral competition.
The date of the competition is December 9th, but our class began preparing two months before. First, we divided the whole class into two parts. I'm in the first part, which is sopran. Then, we chose our songs. The seventh grade and tenth grade are required to sing the school song as the first one.? As for the other one, we decided on On Mount Taihang with most of my classmates' agreement
We practiced everyday at noon break and practiced all afternoon with thehelp of the music teachers at school. On the big day,we were all very nervous and excited.? After watching the classes before us, some student volunteers led us backstage to wait. Just before we went on stage, we adjusted our collars, tightened our hair, and motivatedeach other.
“Let's give a warm welcome to grade 7 class 14!"” As the presenter went backstage,we all took a deep breath and walked confidently towards the middle of the stage. The only thing I can see is the conductor's hand gesturing for the pianist to startplaying and the wonderful melody flowing from the piano. One, two, three, go!
3 minutes passed by like a flash, we have finished singing our school song without dcxmistake. Our conductor turned and took a bow while the other pianist went onstage. When I heard the trumpet solo, my smile became even brighter because this time, my lead part began. Only a few minutes later, our performance ended with along note. We went back to our seats in the auditorium.
Finally, it's time to present the awards to the classes. The first three on the rank will attend the finals. Suddenly, the whole atmosphere tightened. It looks like every single student is leaning forward in their seats, anxious to hear about their placing in the competition. The presenters marched on stage, carrying a piece of paper that holds the mostimportant information we needed at that moment.
After a few minutes, I still didn't hear our class. Are we eliminated? Could we be one of the first three? Only the presenter's words can answer our questions
“In third place, we have class 13! In second place, welcome class 6! And in first place stands-class 14!" My whole sight was abruptly filled with hundreds of turned faces and thousands of clapping hands. My classmates screamed in delight and hugged each other. No one thought we would achieve such a great score. We knew we maybe have a chance to be one of the first three, but who knew we were the best?
The rest of the time flew by in a blur. Students and teachers came up constantly to congratulate us. We all went back to our classroom with triumphant gleams in our eyes and proud smiles on our faces.
I'm sure I will remember this special celebration for a very long time. This is not only a victory of our class, this is the victory of China. Carry forward the spirit of patriotism and defend our national dignity!

School Stands More Than a Century
屹立一個(gè)多世紀(jì)的學(xué)校

In our school, there is a mysterious and ancient courtyard. Every time we pass by, weare full of curiosity. It is our “Museum of School Artifacts " known as “The Qilu Garden”
In the school history class taught by our headmaster -Mrs Jia Yangxia in person, I had a chance to visit “The Qilu Garden” with my classmates When I walked in the old yard, I wasstruck by all the items preserved. I suddenly realized how proud I was of the school I am studying in.
In the year of 1893, Jinan No.5 Middle School began its glorious line of history. During the more than 10o years from then until now, the school experienced hardship, war, bloodshed but also enjoyed honor.
In1893,“Jimei Middle School"(only for boys) was established. n 1911, “Hanmei Female School" was established at the west of “Jimei Middle school". 19 years later, “Jimei Middle School" and “Hanmei Female School" werecombined into “Qilu Private Middle School”, becoming the first coeducational missionary school with a Chinese headmaster. Butit did not lastlong. The Pacific War broke out in 1941, the school was taken over by the Japanese, changing its name to “Jinan Private Municipal Middle School In the November of 1951, managed by the Jinan Government, it changed into a public school, which was named "Jinan No. 5 Middle School of Shandong Province", opening a new page in the school's history. Nowadays, all students are required to follow its motto: hardworking, simplicity, honesty and perseverance and all teachers to follow the concept of "let every student develop; let every student experience success"
Whatever the difficulites, the school had always stood straight. For example, in the anti-Japanese war period, many brave and heroic students stepped out to fight for the Communist Party of China and sacrificed their lives in the process. Nothing struck down Jinan No.5 Middle school. It still exits there cultivating talented teenagers and making many achievements.
At the end of the school history class, we took a photo in front of The Qilu Garden. At that moment, We feel as if we traveled back 100 years, hearing the song the time sing. Every student in Jinan No.5 Middle School will be proud of our school!

A Charity Sale義賣
江蘇無錫市大橋?qū)嶒?yàn)學(xué)校初一5班藺天婕指導(dǎo)老師:張琪
When it comes to helping others, we can always think of many famous sayings, like “It is better to give than to receive." or “The roses in her hand; theflavor in mine." As for the students in our school, the charity sale in each December, is definitely a win-win action.
The sale is one of our school's traditions, aiming to help those needy students with their tuition. A variety of items piled up in the classroom, which would be sold out at the stallsin the playground. The goods went far beyond ourimagination: books, notebooks, postcards, handcrafts and even uncommon souvenirs. This year, a special feature was added. We were encouraged to give all kinds of talent shows to earm money, just like the cool street artists.
The big day finally came. The charity sale totally turned into a special carnival, full of joy. On one side of the playground, wonderful performances were in full swing. We could hear the melody from the orchestra, watch the cheerful song and dance shows, and get ourselves carved stone seals or delicate leaf bookmarks then and there. Crowds roared on the other side. Many groups of excited shoppers, sellers and vendors, rich in selling and bargaining experience, made the playground a lively flea market. Sellers hoped to make as much money as possible while shoppers wished to getgood luck in their treasure hunt. Everyone was in high spirits, trying to help those in need with their own efforts.
After elbowing my way through the crowd many times, Iended up with quite a lot of stationery and girl's stuff like tapes and stickers for my journals. To me, the charity sale is a perfect activity because I can give and get at the same time. It also makes me feel honored and happy to help others in such a special way.
This year, the whole school made the sales 110,595 yuan! What a large number! Whata meaningful event! What an unforgettable charity sale!
