設(shè)計(jì)意圖:用Free talk導(dǎo)入,拉近了師生的距離,營造了輕松愉悅的氛圍。同時(shí)復(fù)習(xí)了有關(guān)天氣和星期的表達(dá)方法,同時(shí)滲透了日期的表達(dá)方式。另外,結(jié)合以上問題讓學(xué)生開動(dòng)腦筋區(qū)分Yesterday&today。

3.Sing a song and enjoy a video“Happy birthday”.

T:What a fine day! There is a happy song.Let’s sing together.

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:本單元是“生日”主題,與學(xué)生的日常生活聯(lián)系緊密,所以教師事先搜集了全班學(xué)生的生日、年齡及生日照。并把所有生日照做成視頻集錦,配上耳熟能詳?shù)摹渡崭琛贰W(xué)生哼著《生日歌》,欣賞著同學(xué)們過生日的場面,同時(shí)尋找著自己的身影。一下子把學(xué)生吸引到這充滿慶生氛圍的課堂上,對下面的學(xué)習(xí)進(jìn)行了鋪墊,水到渠成。

T:It’s sweet.What do you think of when you sing this song?(揭題:Unit 4 Birthday)

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:本單元的話題是birthday,通過“頭腦風(fēng)暴”促進(jìn)學(xué)生開放性思維,激發(fā)學(xué)生的參與意識(shí),了解學(xué)生的知識(shí)儲(chǔ)備情況。本來的意圖是讓學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)上圖中的單詞,但學(xué)生在課上的回答更出乎意料,如:friends,fam ily,love,cand les,balloons,nood les,eggs等。給學(xué)生說的機(jī)會(huì),把主動(dòng)權(quán)交給學(xué)生,會(huì)收獲意想不到的驚喜。

2.Introduce the birthdays of 3 students

T:Do you know the birthdays of your friends?(What a pity! You’re a good friend!)

T: Firstly, let’s introduce the birthdays of our friends.

3.Match the birthdays

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:教師在調(diào)查了同學(xué)生日的同時(shí),選了三個(gè)跟故事當(dāng)中所學(xué)的月份單詞一致的學(xué)生來替代Get ready中小美的一家,先讓學(xué)生在跟教師的互動(dòng)中初步了解有關(guān)生日的表達(dá)法,更接近了學(xué)生的日常生活,吸引了學(xué)生的注意力。

Step 3.Learn the story

1.出示關(guān)鍵人物及禮物圖片,讓學(xué)生提問

T:Today we want to learn a story about birthday.Do you have any questions about it?

Ss:Whose birthday is it?How old is he/she?

When is his/her birthday?Do they have a birthday party?

Does he/she get some gift?

Is there a birthday cake?

Are they happy?...

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:關(guān)鍵人物及禮物圖片蘊(yùn)藏了故事中的關(guān)鍵信息,如故事人物、情節(jié)、主題等。教師鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生對文本故事進(jìn)行自主提問,推測信息,培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生多元視角和豐富的想象力,激發(fā)了學(xué)生的閱讀欲望。同時(shí)教師通過學(xué)生的問答,整理出思維導(dǎo)圖,讓學(xué)生思路更加清晰,帶著問題進(jìn)入故事學(xué)習(xí),讓他們通過學(xué)習(xí)找到自己想知道的答案。同時(shí),為后面復(fù)述故事提供了線索。

2.學(xué)習(xí)P1,預(yù)測故事

引 出 :It was sunny yesterday.

S1:Good morning,Ken.

S2:Here’s the gift.

S4:Happy birthday.

T:It’s a birthday gift.引出Mocky had a birthday gift for Ken.

(4)But Ken said:It’s not my birthday.(由學(xué)生說出)

教學(xué):It wasn’t Ken’s birthday.Pay attention to“wasn’t”—Review “wasn’t”.was+not=wasn’t.

(5)Whose birthday was it yesterday?Can you guess?

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過引導(dǎo)學(xué)生觀察圖片,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的觀察思維能力及運(yùn)用英語描述圖片的能力。其中在詢問天氣的過程中,學(xué)生的回答也讓我對故事教材進(jìn)行了再編。學(xué)生觀察課文插圖,在師生的問答中得出 It’s snowy It’s cold.緊接著為了引出課文文本的內(nèi)容,教師在轉(zhuǎn)接And it’s sunny的過程中還隱約聽見了一個(gè)同學(xué)的嘀咕聲:“看不出來”。后來教師將課件上的圖片稍加改變,加上了太陽。同時(shí)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生對gift進(jìn)行思考,先讓學(xué)生猜Mocky會(huì)說些什么。學(xué)生的答案也讓人驚喜:Good morning,Ken.Here’s the gift.再讓學(xué)生猜Whose birthday was it yesterday?設(shè)置懸念,激起學(xué)生對故事的好奇心。給學(xué)生說和想的機(jī)會(huì),會(huì)收獲滿滿。利用語篇部分內(nèi)容與圖片自然地引出故事。

3.聽故事,回答問題Q1:“Whose birthday was it yesterday?”

讓學(xué)生找出答案:It was Mocky’s birthday.揭題:Our story is “Mocky’s birthday”.It’s interesting.Let’s learn.

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:引導(dǎo)學(xué)生整體感知故事內(nèi)容,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生從試聽中獲取信息并正確傳遞信息的能力。

引出They checked their birthdays one by one.(拿出日歷,用動(dòng)作讓學(xué)生理解check的含義)

c.T:What did Mocky say?播放課件,讓學(xué)生說出:When is your birthday,Ken?

d.學(xué)習(xí) March 12th

跟讀,自然拼讀car→ar→Mar→March

T:What did Mocky say?播放課件,讓學(xué)生說出:When is your birthday,Ann?

It’s September 19th.

b.跟讀,音節(jié)拆分Sep—tem—ber

Let’s check it.拿出日歷:Is it September?Can you point out September 19th.

c.It wasn’t Ken’s birthday.It wasn’t Ann’s birthday.

So,we can say it wasn’t Ann’s birthday,either.(出示 either的意思:都不;也不,用于否定)

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:在這一部分中,為了讓學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)更為集中,更符合這一年齡階段學(xué)生的認(rèn)知發(fā)展特點(diǎn),教師對該教材進(jìn)行了整合,略過了有關(guān)季節(jié)和年齡的英語表達(dá)。學(xué)生在圖片和教師的幫助下進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)。學(xué)生通過在日歷上尋找Ken和Ann的生日,理解英語日期的表達(dá)法。在第二幅圖中已經(jīng)學(xué)過詢問生日的句子,所以教師直接讓學(xué)生進(jìn)行朗讀和匯報(bào),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生觀察、分析和表達(dá)的能力。

a.T: At that time, the phone was ringing.Who called?

Ss:Uncle Booky called.

T:He talked to Ken or Mocky?

設(shè)計(jì)意圖:這里意在提高學(xué)生的朗讀能力和運(yùn)用能力。發(fā)揮學(xué)生主觀能動(dòng)性,自主朗讀故事內(nèi)容,以便教師了解學(xué)生對故事的掌握程度。結(jié)合學(xué)生認(rèn)知水平與課文內(nèi)容,教師提出問題,使學(xué)生在解決問題的過程中進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí)本課的功能句,逐步熟悉故事內(nèi)容。
