摘 要 信息論與編碼是信息、通信類(lèi)專(zhuān)業(yè)開(kāi)設(shè)的一門(mén)技術(shù)基礎(chǔ)課,該課程的理論性強(qiáng),比較抽象難懂。利用MATLAB中GUI圖形用戶(hù)界面設(shè)計(jì)的實(shí)驗(yàn)系統(tǒng),實(shí)現(xiàn)信源熵、信道容量的計(jì)算以及幾種常見(jiàn)的信源信道編碼方法。實(shí)踐證明,系統(tǒng)具有操作簡(jiǎn)單、直觀便捷等特點(diǎn),便于學(xué)生更好地理解和掌握理論知識(shí)。

Abstract Information Theory and Coding is a specialized basic course for the students of specialty on information science and communication. It is theoretical and difficult to understand. The experimental system is designed using graphical user interface (GUI) of MATLAB. The source entropy and channel capacity calculation are realized, the several method of coding are realized. Practice has proved that the system is simple, intuitive and convenient features, which can inspire the students interest in learning theoretical knowledge.

1 引言
許多高校都將信息論與編碼課程作為通信與信息系統(tǒng)學(xué)科重要的技術(shù)基礎(chǔ)課[1]。由于課程的理論性較強(qiáng),存在大量的理論證明和推導(dǎo),用到很多隨機(jī)信號(hào)及概率統(tǒng)計(jì)方面的數(shù)學(xué)知識(shí),這些知識(shí)對(duì)本科生而言,要想熟練掌握和應(yīng)用并不容易。為了激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣和動(dòng)力,更好地掌握信息論與編碼課程,利用MATLAB的GUI設(shè)計(jì)實(shí)驗(yàn)系統(tǒng)界面,實(shí)現(xiàn)信源熵、信道容量和各種信源信道編碼等重點(diǎn)的教學(xué)內(nèi)容。實(shí)驗(yàn)系統(tǒng)操作簡(jiǎn)單、直觀,是課堂教學(xué)的有效輔助工具。
