A famous singer agreed to sing in a bar(酒吧). The manager(經(jīng)理) of the bar made it widely known around town and tickets for the event sold out quickly. In fact, it turned out that there were no seats left on the night of the concert.
A feeling of expectation and happiness was in the air as the manager walked up to the stage(舞臺(tái)). He said, “Hello everybody, thank you for being here tonight. I am afraid that the singer will not be singing tonight because she is ill. However, we have found another great singer. She will sing for you. We hope she will give you great happiness as well...”
The air seemed frozen for a moment. People were unhappy about? the news. They did not even hear the host say the stand-in’s name.
