One possible version:
Zhang Minxuan from Shanghai Normal University argued that university students should acquire social and emotional skills apart from academic knowledge. He believed such soft skills could better prepare students for their future lives.
I totally agree with Zhang Minxuan. Firstly, acquiring academic knowledge alone is far from enough for students to deal with future challenges in the real world. In an everchanging world, knowledge and information can become outdated and it is problemsolving skills that matter. Secondly, a students EQ plays an important role in his or her future success. Students with poor people skills can often find themselves in the middle of unnecessary conflicts. When students are taught specific strategies for recognizing and responding to emotions, thinking through challenging situations and communicating effectively, they are less likely to act out frustrations at school and elsewhere. Thirdly, social and emotional skills can improve academic learning and strengthen students motivation to cooperate and succeed.
