城市客廳是本設(shè)計(jì)的基本理念。在此基礎(chǔ)上，以開放性、兼容性、公眾參與性作為設(shè)計(jì)原則。高效的空間組織和利用在本項(xiàng)目中也尤為重要。占地2000m2的“大屋檐”，位于大堂前面的廣場。這是一個(gè)可以激發(fā)一系列公共活動(dòng)的場所。在建筑內(nèi)部，L型布局的大堂和側(cè)廳分別與不同的功能分區(qū)或獨(dú)立或相互關(guān)聯(lián)，它們可以有效地實(shí)現(xiàn)空間的靈活性，并有效地節(jié)省資源。建筑外形的概念來自于“鉆石”——即隱藏的寶藏在被開挖拋光后而變得閃亮。拋光的部分玻璃幕墻所表達(dá)的“鉆石”是不同的角度?！笆^”則是反映在黑暗鋁幕墻與鉆石的紋理。該項(xiàng)目建成之后，有300多場不同形式和大小的活動(dòng)在這里舉行。在操作方面，各種各樣的節(jié)能設(shè)計(jì)方法使建筑物的能源消耗大大低于大多數(shù)的大型會(huì)展建筑。它也成為人們?nèi)粘Ｐ菹?、散步及交流的地方?/p>

"Urban Lobby" is the primary concept of the design, based on which openness, compatibility and public participation become the most important principle. At the same time, high efficiency of space organization and utilization is also very important.

A "big eave" covering an area of 2,000 square metres is located between the lobby and the square in front of the building. It is a unique place to inspire some public activities such as outdoor concert, fashion show or even weekend market. Inside the building, L-shaped layout of the lobby and the side hall are respectively associated with the different functionregions either independent or interrelated, which can realize the fl exibility and can save energy e ff ectively.

The concept of the image comes from "diamond" –hidden treasure in a large boulder, and becomes shiny after excavation and being polished. The polishing part of "diamond" is expressed by the glass curtain wall of different angles. "Stone" is reflected by dark aluminium curtain wall with diamond texture.

Within the year after completion, there were more than 300 activities of di ff erent forms and sizes held in this building. In terms of operations, a variety of energy saving design methods makes the energy consumption of the building much lower than most of the large-scale convention buildings. It also turns itself into a place for people to take a rest after daily work, to walk, and have spontaneous communication.
