Theory of secondary vocational English project teaching method

【Abstract】Under the impetus of the rapid development of science and technology and economy,Social productivity level and greatly enhance people's quality of life,education level also got further development.Under the influence of the globalization development trend,English gradually become the most widely used foreign language of people daily life. Secondary vocational English is a public basic course of secondary vocational school students, as an important part of secondary vocational students training plan, has received the widespread attention.In this study, secondary vocational English project teaching method is briefly discussed.

In recent years,under the influence of in the deepening of education reform,many of the new English teaching mode and method also gradually be brought up, and mature in experiment and practice, as has the positive significance of the teaching method for English teaching.Project teaching method is the method of teaching English in one of the most significant meaning of secondary vocational English teaching methods.It broke many fetters in the traditional teaching mode,but in the concrete implementation process also exists some problems.Therefore, in order to better improve secondary vocational English teaching quality,We should further strengthen the study of secondary vocational English teaching and the project teaching method, consummating it gradually.

1.Sketch of the project teaching method

1.1 The concept and significance of project teaching method With the progress of the development of society and economy,the quality of life and consumption level of people has been further improvement.To meet the high demand of product quality and production efficiency,companies have established a higher standard for the quality of talents.Especially under the impetus of the development trend of economic globalization,English as a world general language gradually in information transmission ,economic construction and other parts has been widely used.Learning English is also gradually become a focus of the current talent training.Secondary vocational schools as an important part of talent training in our country,carrying a large number of high-quality talent to the society.Secondary vocational school students, are in the youth of a good memory,and good adaptability with strong ability to learn knowledge.Therefore, to strengthen the secondary vocational English teaching is of great importance.Project teaching method is a new method of teaching English which has been proposed and implemented in recent years. Compared with the traditional English teaching methods,the biggest difference is that the traditional English teaching methods are often divided teaching contents according to the ease of grammar, vocabulary teaching contents emphasising too much on students' memory of English knowledge, comprehend and basic application. It lacks a part of the textbook knowledge combined with the practical application environment.It makes students can not completely understand English culture and thought contained in deeper content.While the project teaching method divided English teaching content into a project.There are both independence and connection between project and project.In a project, which makes the students more or less can be learned from the front can be derived from the project to solve the problems in the current project has positive significance Each project is such a relatively complete English scene that students can express the feelings and thoughts with freedom in this scene during the learning process. In the process of communication with teachers,students can correct their own problems ,sublimating their learned knowledge.

1.2The characteristics of the project teaching method

Project teaching method divided English teaching content into a complete project,asking the students to participate in the project implementation.It makes that project English teaching method has the characteristics of practicality.Students can have a good command of English writing and reading relying on our own efforts and wisdom in the process of learning English before. But because of the lack of language environment and cultural background of English, Students often exist certain difficulty in listening and spoken English.The characteristics of the project teaching method have characteristics of practical, making students have more opportunities for communication.There is no doubt that it has a great help for students to increase the ability of English listening and spoken English.When using English project teaching method in English teaching,the division of the project is not random. Each project is based on English teaching content which required in students develop plan.The establishment of the project scene Settings and the target is to enable students to better, more comprehensive learning these English teaching content.Therefore,the establishment of project in the English project teaching method has a certain purpose.At present, the pace of social and economic development is accelerated, ,economic market competition day by day intense. In order to inspire students' interest in learning English teachers must be able to more accurately grasp the students' learning status of body and mind during making English project ,making the teaching scheme more feasible,instructive and interesting. Therefore, the implementation of the project teaching method is closely related to teachers' professional technology level.

2.The problems existing in the secondary vocational English project teaching method

2.1The lack of Students' learning interest

Under the influence of economic globalization trend, countries strengthen communications of the technology, resources, talent and so on. English has the vital significance to the development of social and economic as an international language.Therefore, English has also become a important subject.Although over the years, our country has been actively advocating learning English, investing a lot of manpower and money in English teaching.Students' English comprehensive ability is not strong because of the students themselves, the influence of social environment, and many other factors.Most of the secondary vocational school students are on the stage of youth which both physical and mental have big changes. They cannot meet the English learning requirements of teachers.Bcause English is a foreign language,there is a big difference between English and Chinese ingrammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Many students do not have a scientific and reasonable method of learning English in the past learning process,lacking of the English learning attitude,leading to the relatively poor English foundation.Although the project teaching method have advantages of innovative teaching content and teaching mode unique, because of the weak foundation in English and wrong learning attitude of students,the student's English is still poor.Students are less and less interest in English learning.

2.2 The lack of teacher's teaching technical level

English project teaching method is a relatively new method of teaching. It has a great advantage in the teaching quality and promoting the efficiency of student learning compared with the traditional teaching methods, But teachers need to accurately grasp the students and the learning condition of body and mind and are able to combine English teaching content with project skillfully in order to the implementation of this method. This requires English project teaching method of teachers with high teaching technology.Our country is a large country with a large number of secondary vocational schools.Although English project teaching method have obtained the rapid promotion all over the country in recent years,many secondary vocational school teachers have difficulties in grasping the key point of project teaching method because of very big difference between its teaching mode and the traditional teaching mode.Lacking of experience of the arrangement of teaching content,putting forward the question,and the analysis of the idea in the process of project formulation leads to a project teaching method in the process of implementation can't achieve the desired effect.Some of the items with the project approach either too heavily on the project itself,away from the English teaching contents,or hard to out of the shackles of traditional English teaching mode,can't inspire the students' interest in learning in content and form Thus it can be seen that,effect of project teaching method also depends on the teacher's teaching techniques.

3. Some opinions for improvement of project teaching method

3.1Teach students in accordance of their aptitude

English project teaching method provides students with an interactive and innovative practice English learning platform.Because different students have different interests and hobbies and advantages and disadvantages are also exist a certain differences. The influence degree of the students in the same project is also different.In order to fully mobilize students' learning enthusiasm,making the project bring students more positive influence,teachers can develop different project learning plan to different students according to the students' body ,mind and learning situation when teaching English. Teachers can divide the students with the same problems and difficulties into groups and classify problems in the learning process of students in order to get corresponding solutions to solve.For the students whose learning attitude is not correct,method is not science,teachers should take corresponding measures in time to correct their learning attitude and mistakes in their learning methods .Through this method according to their aptitude,not only giving teachers a lot of teaching experience, greatly improve students' learning enthusiasm and efficiency, but also enhance the communication between teachers and students, promoteing the development of a harmonious campus.
