提升中學(xué)生英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣的實(shí)踐策略

興趣是學(xué)習(xí)之根本,如果學(xué)生對(duì)某種新事物感興趣,那么他們自己就會(huì)積極主動(dòng)去學(xué)習(xí),不需要督促更不需要逼迫。一個(gè)中學(xué)生如果對(duì)英語學(xué)習(xí)感興趣,他就不會(huì)把英語看成沉重的負(fù)擔(dān),相反,他會(huì)以積極主動(dòng)的姿態(tài)出現(xiàn),并在學(xué)習(xí)中鍛煉思維、收獲愉悅。
1.故事導(dǎo)入。九年級(jí)上冊(cè)第三模塊“The hero in my heart”介紹了一些英雄偶像,其中有鄧亞萍,教師可通過講述鄧亞萍的成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷來導(dǎo)入新課,既可激起學(xué)生興趣,還可以借鄧亞萍的曲折經(jīng)歷達(dá)到教育學(xué)生的目的。
2.影像導(dǎo)入。如教學(xué)九年級(jí)上冊(cè)第四模塊“Home alone”,教師可以播放當(dāng)今流行電影“Home alone”(小鬼當(dāng)家),可以激發(fā)學(xué)生興趣,達(dá)到良好的教學(xué)效果。
3.歌曲導(dǎo)入??梢圆シ乓皇赘滩挠嘘P(guān)的歌曲,并讓學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)唱。學(xué)生喜歡熱鬧,即使昏昏欲睡的學(xué)生也會(huì)立刻哼起來。
1.游戲法。學(xué)新單詞的時(shí)候,可以引用“Siman says”,當(dāng)老師念Siman says manage,學(xué)生應(yīng)立刻跟讀manage;當(dāng)老師念manage,學(xué)生應(yīng)該保持安靜,否則就輸了。
2.比賽法。每組以6人為一個(gè)團(tuán)隊(duì),分別對(duì)剛剛學(xué)過的單詞進(jìn)行拼讀、記中文意思,看哪個(gè)小組背得最多,記得最牢。做題的時(shí)候也可以把學(xué)生進(jìn)行分組,請(qǐng)每個(gè)小組的一個(gè)代表講題,看哪個(gè)小組講得對(duì)。
3.口訣法。這個(gè)方法特別適用于語法規(guī)則的學(xué)習(xí)。如對(duì)基數(shù)詞變序數(shù)次的規(guī)則,可以編成口訣:“一,二,三特殊記,八去t,九去e,f替ve,然后再加-th,以ty結(jié)尾的數(shù)十的整數(shù),變序數(shù)詞時(shí),把y改ie,再加-th,若是碰到第20以上的‘第幾十幾’,只變個(gè)位就可以,除此外,其余的直接加-th.”
講授新目標(biāo)英語八年級(jí)(下)Unit 4“He said I was hard-working”Reading“She said helping others changed her life”,我首先利用多媒體展示了自己理想的職業(yè),大量的圖片信息立刻引起了學(xué)生們的興趣。
談?wù)撏旮魅说睦硐肼殬I(yè)后,我用多媒體出示了幾幅貧困山區(qū)的圖片,還有汶川地震后的學(xué)生的生活情況的視頻。學(xué)生們都被感染了,我因勢(shì)利導(dǎo),提出問題。
T:What do you think of these pictures, and what should we do for them?
S1: I think they are so poor.
S2: They should study hard to change their life.
S3 : We should help them.
S4: We should give money to them.
T: Yes, they are so poor. We should study hard to help them. Yang Lei is a graduate from Peking University. She joined a program that was started by The Ministry of Education &Chinese Young Pioneers. If you join the program, you could go to the rural areas to help kids study.
我們可以開展英語演講比賽、英語作文征文大賽,還可開展英語書法大賽、英語歌曲聯(lián)唱、英語文化節(jié)、英語日等。例如,每周三下午組織學(xué)生參加英語角,以Work in pairs or Ask and answer等形式談?wù)勅绾螌W(xué)好英語。
M:Mike is my good friend. He began to learn English at the age of five, but his English is not good.
W: How old is he now?
M: Twelve years old. Last week he sent emails to three of his American pen friends. They are John, Robert and Tom.
W: What did Mike say in his email to John?
M: He asked John a question about listening and John advised him to listen to the radio.
W: Did Mike also ask Robert a question in his email?
M: Yes, he asked Robert a question about speaking and Robert advised him to watch English films.
W: Mike asked Tom a question in his email too, didn’t he?
M: Yes, that’s right. He asked Tom a question about writing and Tom advised him to read English newspapers.
