基于平行文本模式的企業(yè)簡介英譯

摘要：企業(yè)走向國際市場需要高質(zhì)量的企業(yè)簡介等外宣材料。本文借助平行文本，以財(cái)富500強(qiáng)企業(yè)簡介作為平行文本語料，分析歸納此體裁的語篇結(jié)構(gòu)及詞匯語法特征，重構(gòu)一個(gè)企業(yè)簡介英譯的平行文本模式，為譯者提供參照。

目前很多企業(yè)簡介的英譯存在諸多問題，主要是不從語篇的實(shí)際交際功能出發(fā)，僅將一種文字材料轉(zhuǎn)化成另一種文字材料。諾德提出，翻譯是“目標(biāo)語情景中為某種目的及目標(biāo)受眾而生產(chǎn)的語篇”[1]。為了幫助譯者再造一個(gè)符合目的語文化規(guī)范的企業(yè)簡介文本，筆者以30篇500強(qiáng)企業(yè)簡介作為平行文本語料，分析歸納此體裁的語篇結(jié)構(gòu)及詞匯語法特征，構(gòu)建一個(gè)企業(yè)簡介英譯的平行文本模式，為譯者提供參照。

一、平行文本

平行文本，這個(gè)術(shù)語通常用于比較語篇語言學(xué)，概指不同語言文化中交際功能相似的語篇類型，差不多相似的交際情境中產(chǎn)生的具有相似信息的不同語言的文本[2]。Hartmann 將其分為3類，本文參考上述B 類：形式上不完全一致，但功能對(duì)等的譯文及原文;定。一般說來，翻譯時(shí)我們所面臨的文本皆是一系列語句串聯(lián)而成的連貫序列，作為一個(gè)整體行使一定的功能和目的[3]。 這樣的文本往往有特定的語篇結(jié)構(gòu)和語言體現(xiàn)方式。而某一特定文本的語篇結(jié)構(gòu)和語言體現(xiàn)方式常常要受語篇體裁的影響。同時(shí)，語篇體裁與文化息息相關(guān)，有很強(qiáng)的社會(huì)文化屬性。在這個(gè)意義上，相似的交際情境中產(chǎn)生的、行使相似功能的兩種語言的平行文本實(shí)際上就是兩種語言中同一體裁的文本。目的語中與源語同一體裁的平行文本則可以從宏觀的文本綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)和微觀的語言體現(xiàn)樣式兩方面為譯者的調(diào)整提供具體依據(jù)和參照。語篇體裁相同，交際功能相似的語篇必有相同的必要成分，基本結(jié)構(gòu)是一樣的。同時(shí)，語篇體裁是文化語境的內(nèi)容，它涉及一定的社會(huì)文化范圍內(nèi)有目的的交往。語篇體裁體現(xiàn)方式之一是“綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)”，綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)指有階段的、有步驟的結(jié)構(gòu)。例如，名稱- 簡介- 原料、配料- 烹飪方法。這個(gè)明顯是食譜[4]。提出在翻譯一些語篇體例極為標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的文本時(shí)，平行文本甚至可以作為一個(gè)現(xiàn)成的翻譯范本[5]。

二、企業(yè)簡介平行文本語篇分析

獲取目標(biāo)語文本慣例的主要方式是進(jìn)行文本分析。綜合哈桑(Hasan 1996)的語篇結(jié)構(gòu)成分，Swales(1990)的語步(move)和步驟(step)和Bhatia(1993)的分析方法，語篇分析的框架大致可以概述為“組成部分——語步 → 步驟 / 策略→詞匯語法”這一層級(jí)系統(tǒng)[6-7]。前三個(gè)方面可視為較宏觀的分析，主要通過閱讀判斷和統(tǒng)計(jì)分析實(shí)現(xiàn)，也可適當(dāng)運(yùn)用語料庫手段輔助；詞匯語法層次的分析可視為較微觀的分析，主要依靠語料庫手段。

筆者收集了財(cái)富500強(qiáng)中30家企業(yè)簡介，建立一小型語料庫它們的結(jié)構(gòu)體現(xiàn)形式是“綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)”。語篇包含多個(gè)語步，如”who we are，what we do，how we develop，our product，our culture”等。以“雪佛龍(CHEVRON) ”的簡介為例。

這樣烏深的夜，月光隱沒，連星子也不見半點(diǎn)。只見殿脊重重疊疊如遠(yuǎn)山重巒，有傾倒之勢，更兼宮中處處點(diǎn)著大喪的白紙燈籠，如鬼火點(diǎn)點(diǎn)，來往皆白衣素裳，當(dāng)真凄凄如鬼魅之地。

典型例句 our values serve as a compass for our actions and describe how we behave in the world.

通過這樣的系統(tǒng)歸納，有助于揭示實(shí)現(xiàn)某一語步或步驟的典型詞匯語法模式。如榮譽(yù)語步，有“be ranked as，winner of，has built a reputation as，award- winning，rated”等表達(dá)。而且，通過語料庫的關(guān)鍵詞等技術(shù)，進(jìn)行檢索等手段也能從多個(gè)角度探討體裁的典型詞匯語法結(jié)構(gòu)，尤其是典型術(shù)語。系統(tǒng)發(fā)現(xiàn)的高頻詞：quality，commitment、brands、rank、sustainability，innovative等。對(duì)”quality”的調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)其典型構(gòu)成有“exceptional quality，high-quality，high-performance service，highest standards of quality，superior quality value and service，industry-leading quality”等。以上檢索內(nèi)容是簡介英譯時(shí)非常好的參考。

結(jié)構(gòu)部分除了概念意義的傳達(dá)，在具體的語步體現(xiàn)形式上語篇還特別注重人際意義的的傳達(dá)，表現(xiàn)為人稱使用以及語氣、情態(tài)、評(píng)價(jià)系統(tǒng)方面。英美企業(yè)90%為私有，企業(yè)文化內(nèi)容宣揚(yáng)企業(yè)價(jià)值觀，以消費(fèi)者、股東利益為中心等，強(qiáng)調(diào)互動(dòng)的人際關(guān)系。通常以“we，our products”等第一人稱的詞為主位敘述視角，適當(dāng)?shù)牡胤绞褂玫诙朔Q實(shí)現(xiàn)句子間的銜接與連貫，并配以一定的情態(tài)語氣助詞，達(dá)到企業(yè)與顧客的互動(dòng)交際。

三、平行文本在企業(yè)簡介英譯中的應(yīng)用

通過以上對(duì)平行文本語篇體裁特點(diǎn)的分析，譯者可以生成一個(gè)包含多個(gè)語步且有典型術(shù)語、例句的目的語綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)。譯者可參照這個(gè)小型語料庫中的“綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)”，直接撰寫譯文。

以中國海油 (CNOOC) 英譯文本中的一段為例：

During the“Eleventh Five-year Plan”period，while focusing on the“Eleventh.

Five-year Plan” objectives and highlighting the construction of an“offshore Daqing field”，this company has firmly grasped the important economic strategic opportunities arising from China’s economic and social development and responded effectively to the material adverse impact of the global financial crisis with spirit of deepening reform and promoting development through innovation，and made outstanding achievements in capacity building in energy supply，construction of industry value chain，thus this company has entered into a new phase of devlopment.

此譯文漢語的痕跡較明顯。它所體現(xiàn)的信息包含objectives，opportunities，respond，achievements 等，在平行文本語料庫中可檢索到類似的語步：

While we maintain flexibility to adapt to changing conditions，we will consistently strive to improve efficiency and productivity through learning，sharing and implementing best practices.(Chevron)

We use advanced technologie and innovative approach to help build a sustainable energy future. (Shell)

With 200 years of experience meeting the world’s toughest challenges and seizing its greatest opportunities，we strive to create the best outcome for customer with solutions.(Citi)

在人際意義上，筆者認(rèn)為可因企業(yè)性質(zhì)而異。國企采用較莊重的語氣亦可。不照搬英美簡介中“we，you”主位形式，而是用公司作主位，企業(yè)具體信息為述位實(shí)現(xiàn)文本的銜接、連貫和主題擴(kuò)展。借用語料庫中平行文本模式，產(chǎn)生以下譯本：

改譯：By focusing on the objectives of initiatives “Eleventh Five-year Plan”that provides a strategic framework for sustainable success and highlighting the construction of an“offshore Daqing field”，CNOOC will consistently strive to improve efficiency and productivity through learning，sharing and implementing best practices.CNOOC use advanced technologies and take an innovative approach to help build a sustainable energy future，while we maintain flexibility to adapt to changing conditions.CNOOC will strive to create the best outcome for customers.To continue to thrive，CNOOC must look ahead，understand the trends and shape our business in the future and move swiftly to prepare for what’s to come.

四、結(jié)語

從以上分析，可以看出因中西文化差異而導(dǎo)致的企業(yè)簡介英譯存在諸多問題解決方法是，譯者可以嘗試借助本文構(gòu)建的語料庫中的平行文本模式，模仿此語篇體裁的“綱要式結(jié)構(gòu)”、語步及具體體現(xiàn)語篇功能的典型詞匯語法模式，重構(gòu)一個(gè)符合目的語受眾需求的企業(yè)簡介。

A Model of Parallel Texts for English Translation of Company Profiles
