Teaching aims:
1 Let students know about the rules of indefinite articles.2 Ask students remember the vowel phonemes and consonant phonemes.3 Give the right answers to the exercises with indefinite articles.

Teaching procedures:There are four steps in this class.
Lead in:I Will begin my class with a riddle. From 1 to 10,who is busy and who is lazy? Do you know? Just as an old saying goes “一不做二不休”,so 1 is considered lazy while 2 is considered busy. But in fact we can not live without “1” in our daily life. We often use articles to express the meaning of 1 in English.
The articles include definite article and indefinite article. Sometimes we do not use articles. The topic of my class is about indefinite articles and when we use them.
Step 1:Write the phonemes on the blackboard
The phoneme is the smallest unit. There are 20vowel phonemes and 28 consonant phonemes.
Step 2:Talk about the indefinite articles in details.
1 Articles are used before nouns.2 Articles can be divided into definite article and indefinite articles.3 “A” is often put before consonant phonemes while “An” is used before vowel phonemes.
*Pay attention to:We should choose “a” or “an” according to phonemes not by letters.
There is a formula for us:名詞是禿子,常要戴帽子可數(shù)名詞單,需用a 或 an輔音前用a,an用在元音前eg:Before letter “u”a university,a useful book,a unit
an umbrella,an ugly man,an uncle
Step3:Homework:Give examples of these description:下列情況應(yīng)免冠:1代詞、限定名詞前2 專有名詞不可數(shù)3 下棋、打球、三餐前4 復(fù)數(shù)名詞表泛指5 星期、月份、學(xué)科、語(yǔ)言、習(xí)語(yǔ)前
Step 4 Teaching review:Teaching is learning. Usually we decide to do what we should do according to students response. I must know whether students can master the usage of indefinite articles or not. If so we finish our tasks,if not we have to go on doing exercises about indefinite articles to achieve our goals.
