小兔邦尼家來了個(gè)脾氣似乎不怎么好的新鄰居——雪貂菲利特先生。菲利特先生家門口掛了“不準(zhǔn)入內(nèi)”的牌子。邦尼與松鼠玩棒球時(shí)不小心把球打到了菲利特先生家的院子里，兩人猶豫要不要進(jìn)去撿球。邦尼想到了門口的標(biāo)示牌，于是決定不進(jìn)去打擾，兩人改騎自行車玩耍。

邦尼回到家中，看到媽媽烤出美味的胡蘿卜蛋糕，正打算給菲利特先生送去。兔媽媽告訴邦尼：“每個(gè)人都有心情不好的時(shí)候，也許菲利特先生會(huì)喜歡我們的蛋糕呢?！?/p>

菲利特先生收到蛋糕后非常開心，與兔媽媽親切地交談起來。他說這蛋糕讓他想起了自己的奶奶，自己非常想念她。

之后的一天，邦尼和松鼠又不小心把風(fēng)箏掉落在了菲利特先生的院子中。這次，他們發(fā)現(xiàn)，菲利特先生家門口的牌子上寫著：“歡迎入內(nèi)”。

Little Bunny watched as Mr. Ferret moved in to the house next door. He watched Mr. Ferret hang a sign on his gate： KEEP OUT！

Later， Little Bunny and Squirrel were playing ball.

The ball bounced into Mr. Ferrets yard.

“Will you go to get it？” asked Squirrel.

Little Bunny remembered Mr. Ferrets sign and said，

“I dont think we should.”

So they rode bikes instead.

When Little Bunny went back home， he smelled something good. Mama had made a carrot cake.

“Yum，”said Little Bunny.

Mama smiled. “This cake isnt for us. Its for our new neighbor.”

“But， Mama， Mr. Ferret is a grouch.”

“Everyone gets grouchy sometimes. But I bet he will like my carrot cake，” said Mama.

When the cake was done， they went next door.

When Mr. Ferret saw the carrot cake， he grinned.

He told them about his grannys cakes and how much he missed her.

The next day， Little Bunny and Squirrel were flying kites.

Squirrels kite skittered into Mr. Ferrets yard.

“Uh-oh，” said Squirrel.
