Narrator: When the warm spring wind awakes the earth, a leaf grows up. He stays on the tree all the time and starts to feel boring. “It’s too boring to live on the tree.” Leaf thinks. So when the spring wind comes again, he decides to travel by wind.
Leaf: Haha, I’m free. I’m going to have fun.
All: What do you want to do?
Leaf: I want to be a traveller. Now I can realize this dream by wind!
Narrator: Sitting on the wind, Leaf starts his journey. Suddenly, he comes across(遇到) a boy.
Boy: What’s floating in the air? Wow! It’s a leaf. How beautiful it is!
Leaf: Hello, little boy. How are you?
Boy: A leaf can talk? Amazing! I feel bad because my best friend has to move to another city. I said goodbye to him just now.
Leaf: Poor boy. Don’t be sad. Let’s play!
(Leaf flies by the wind. They start to play. Smile returns to the boy’s face.)
Boy: I feel better. Thank you, Leaf.
Leaf: Never mind. Although(盡管)I have to continue my journey, I will keep this happy memory in mind. Don’t be sad, boy. Your best friend will never forget you. By the way, you may come across some good new friends.
Boy: Yes, you are right. Goodbye, my friend, wish you a happy journey.
Narrator: The wind takes Leaf to a river. He tries to swim and successfully floats on the river. An ant shows up(出現(xiàn)).
Ant: Wow! A green leaf is swimming in the river.
Leaf: Nice to meet you, Ant. Swimming is fun! And the spring water is warm. Will you join me?
Ant: Sorry, Leaf, I cannot swim. I’m looking for a boat to cross this river. Will you be my boat?
Leaf: Sure. Get on.
Narrator: Leaf takes Ant to the other side of the river. They become good friends.
Narrator: Leaf continues his journey on the spring water. He floats to a lotus pond. A lady frog is jumping on the lotus leaves.
Frog: You look so different from the lotus leaves. Where are you from?
Leaf: I am from a tree. The spring wind takes me to the river and the spring water takes me here.
Narrator: Suddenly, the spring thunder starts to sing. It’s going to rain.
Frog: My God! It’s raining heavily! But I have to pick up my kids from school. Leaf, can you be my umbrella?
Leaf: Yes, of course.
Narrator: The frog picks up Leaf and holds him as an umbrella.
Narrator: When the rain stops, the spring wind comes again. It takes Leaf into the forest. Leaf flies into a squirrel’s house.
Squirrel: Oh! I can’t believe it! My first visitor of this spring is a leaf!
Leaf: Hello, Squirrel. I’m travelling. The warm spring wind takes me here. By the way, I love your house. It’s lovely and tidy.
Squirrel: Thank you, Leaf. Can you do me a favor(幫我一個(gè)忙)? I want to invite my friend Rabbit to visit my house. Are you willing to be my letter?
Leaf: Yes, I’m willing to be your letter, please write on me.
Narrator: So the warm spring wind sends this special leaf letter to Rabbit.
Rabbit: A letter written on a spring leaf? How thoughtful Squirrel is! Thank you, Leaf. You are the best letter I’ve ever received!
Narrator: After visiting so many places, Leaf feels tired. One day, only his leaf veins(葉脈)last. The wind cannot hold him anymore. So he falls down on a kitten’s plate.
Kitten: Amazing! A fish bone flies to my plate. But ... it’s green! Is it poisoned(有毒的)?
Narrator: Kitten sniffs(嗅)and licks(舔)it carefully.
Kitten: Oh, it’s a leaf. I’ve never seen a leaf like this. Look! How delicate(精美的) it is! I can put it in my book. It can be my bookmark(書簽)!
Narrator: At last, Leaf ends his journey and becomes Kitten’s bookmark. Together, they read a lot of books.
