翻越崇山峻嶺,跨越大江大河,中老鐵路通車啦!

2021年12月3日,中國昆明站內(nèi)的復(fù)興號“綠巨人”、老撾萬象站內(nèi)的“瀾滄號”動車組列車緩緩開動,開啟一段跨越山河、相互奔赴的旅程。這標志著連接昆明和萬象、采用中國標準的中老鐵路全線開通運營。

中共中央總書記、國家主席習(xí)近平于當日下午在北京同老撾人民革命黨中央總書記、國家主席通倫通過視頻連線的形式共同出席中老鐵路通車儀式。習(xí)近平指出,中老鐵路是兩國互利合作的旗艦項目。鐵路一通,昆明到萬象從此山不再高、路不再長。雙方要再接再厲、善作善成,把鐵路維護好、運營好,把沿線開發(fā)好、建設(shè)好,打造黃金線路,造福兩國民眾。

這條全長1035公里的國際鐵路,新建隧道167座,新建橋梁301座,被稱為“穿行于橋隧之間”的鐵路,一批批典型隧道、橋梁,創(chuàng)下了多個世界之最;秉承“綠水青山就是金山銀山”理念的中國建設(shè)者們,將綠色環(huán)保和鐵路建設(shè)緊密結(jié)合,將中老鐵路打造成一條名副其實的“綠色長廊”。

回望艱難建設(shè)的5年,世界上跨度最大的上承式連續(xù)鋼桁梁鐵路橋——元江特大橋拔地而起;具有最長隧道、最長輔助坑道、最長單個斜井、最多斷層、最大埋深、最大變形、最大獨頭施工長度、最大水壓“8個之最”特點的安定隧道順利貫通;盡顯萬象“檀木之城、森林之都”神韻的老撾萬象站驚艷亮相;一條綠化面積達307萬平方米的“景隨路走、綠隨車移”的綠色生態(tài)長廊惠澤中老兩國……

近2000天的揮汗建設(shè)、近2000天的熱烈期盼,一條連通中老兩國的“友誼之路”“發(fā)展之路”“綠色之路”在建設(shè)者手中變?yōu)楝F(xiàn)實,成為共建“一帶一路”的標桿與典范項目。

The China-Laos Railway is open to traffic, with trains running across mountains and rivers along the way!

On December 3, 2021, a “green giant” Fuxing bullet train and a “Lancang” EMU train departed respectively from Kunming and Vientiane Stations on China-Laos Railway, starting a two-way journey across mountains and rivers. That marks the complete opening of China-Laos Railway, which connects Kunming, capital of China’s Yunnan Province, and Vientiane, capital of Laos, and completely adopts China’s technical standards.

On that afternoon, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President, attended the opening ceremony of China-Laos Railway together with Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and President of Laos, via video link in Beijing. Calling China-Laos Railway a flagship project of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, Xi said with the railway, the mountain from Kunming to Vientiane is no longer high and the road no longer long. Xi called on two sides to make persistent efforts, maintain and operate the railway well, develop and construct well the areas along the line, and create a golden line for the benefit of the people of both countries.

This international railway has a total length of 1,035 kilometers. Known for “running among tunnels and bridges”, it comprises 167 newly-built tunnels and 301 newly-built bridges, which have set many world records. Following the concept that “l(fā)ucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, Chinese builders have integrated environmental protection into the railway construction and finally built China-Laos Railway in to a real “green corridor”.

Looking back at the last difficult five years, China and Laos has seen Yuanjiang Railway Bridge, with the world’s longest deck-steel-truss span, rising abruptly out of the ground. The Anding Tunnel was completed. As the longest tunnel along China-Laos Railway, it has created several records in construction history, involving the length of auxiliary trenches, the length of a single inclined shaft, the number of faults, the maximum optimal depth, the maximum deformation, the length of sole head construction and hydraulic pressure. The Vientiane Station in Laos was built, showcasing the charm of Vientiane as “City of Sandalwood” and “Capital of Forests”. A green ecological corridor with a green space of 3.07 million square meters is benefiting China and Laos.

With unremitting efforts of all workers and the eager anticipation of the two peoples over the past 2,000 days, China-Laos Railway has become a great example of Belt and Road cooperation. It is characterized by friendship and green development between the two countries.
