一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
這個(gè)單元的話題是談?wù)撐磥淼纳?,呈現(xiàn)了“運(yùn)用一般將來時(shí)預(yù)測未來”的語言功能項(xiàng)目。本課例Section B 2a-2e 是一節(jié)閱讀課,談?wù)摰氖俏磥頇C(jī)器人發(fā)展的話題。
內(nèi)容及處理方法方面:2a是讀前活動(dòng),通過問題去了解學(xué)生對(duì)機(jī)器人的認(rèn)知情況。2b是Do you think you will have your own robot?文本閱讀,通過略讀,讓學(xué)生掌握各段大意和對(duì)文章的整體理解。2c-2d是閱讀理解活動(dòng),2c通過細(xì)讀攜取有關(guān)機(jī)器人能干些什么工作的細(xì)節(jié)信息。2d是對(duì)語篇的縮寫,通過填詞轉(zhuǎn)換文章表達(dá)方式,既加深對(duì)文章的理解,又加強(qiáng)學(xué)生的語用能力。2e是讀后拓展活動(dòng),讓學(xué)生發(fā)揮想象,對(duì)機(jī)器人的未來發(fā)展情況進(jìn)行預(yù)測,并與同學(xué)展開討論、分享觀點(diǎn)。
二、學(xué)情分析
經(jīng)過七年級(jí)的學(xué)習(xí),八年級(jí)的學(xué)生已經(jīng)具備一年的英語學(xué)習(xí)能力,有一定的聽說能力。這個(gè)年齡段的學(xué)生想象力豐富,對(duì)未來世界充滿好奇,有較強(qiáng)的求知欲。本節(jié)課教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)選取了學(xué)生對(duì)機(jī)器人這個(gè)感興趣的話題展開討論并導(dǎo)入文本閱讀,采用讀前、讀中、讀后的多種閱讀策略滲透的思路,利用思維導(dǎo)圖優(yōu)化閱讀教學(xué),逐步讓學(xué)生理解文章,加強(qiáng)學(xué)生的閱讀理解能力運(yùn)用。
三、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
Knowledge objectives:

Step 2 Pre-reading
1. Draw a draft of mind-map and put forward the topic about "robots".
2. Lead Ss to say what can robots do.
Conclude into the point: They will do the same things as humans.

The draft leads in today’s topic and it can focus students’attention to the class.
Step 3 While-reading
1.Task1Skimming: Read the article and match each paragraph with the questions.
2.Task2 Scanning. Read each paragraph and answer the questions:
(Para 1) What are robots like in movies?
(Para 2) What can robots do today?
(Para 3) Will robots think like humans in the future?
(Para 4) What will robots be like in the future?
3. Task 3 Scanning. Read and finish 2c ,answer the question "What can robots do?"
4. Task 4 Careful reading. Read Para 3 and Finish 2d. Fill in the blanks in this paragraph with words from the article.
5. Read Para 3 and think. Share the different views from the scientists.
【Design purpose】
To develop the skills of reading, it is important to teach the reading strategies of skimming, scanning, etc. We use mind-map to optimize English reading. Students read with tasks and gain the details of the article. It's helpful to improve their reading abilities and comprehensive ability.
