Plodding along in the daily strife，

Bearing the whips and the scorns of life，

With never a whimper of pain or hate，

For the sake of those who at home await.

只是個(gè)面帶倦容的父親，

結(jié)束每日的奔忙后回到家中，

沒(méi)有帶回多少金錢(qián)與名利

來(lái)顯擺自己出色的表現(xiàn)，

但家人看見(jiàn)他回到家中，聽(tīng)到他的聲音

那種喜悅讓他喜上心頭。

只是個(gè)養(yǎng)活一家四口的父親，

無(wú)數(shù)男人中的一員。

在每日的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中辛勤勞作，

忍受著生活的鞭撻與嘲笑，

卻從不怨天尤人，心懷怨恨，

只為那些在家中守候的親人。

Only a dad， neither rich nor proud，

Merely one of the surging crowd

Toiling， striving from day to day，

Facing whatever may come his way，

Silent， whenever the harsh condemn，

And bearing it all for the love of them.

Only a dad but he gives his all

To smooth the way for his children small，

Doing， with courage stern and grim，

The deeds that his father did for him.

This is the line that for him I pen，

Only a dad， but the best of men.

只是個(gè)父親，既不富裕也不高傲，

不過(guò)是蕓蕓眾生中的一員，

日復(fù)一日地奮斗，不辭勞苦，

直面任何可能阻擋他前進(jìn)的障礙，

無(wú)論何時(shí)，默默忍受斥責(zé)，

全因?qū)胰说膼?ài)。

只是個(gè)父親，卻傾其所有

為年幼的孩子鋪平道路，

滿懷堅(jiān)定的勇氣做著

他父親曾為他所做的一切。
