Unit 5 What does she do? ?Part B ?Lets read
Wang Li is an engineer. She likes drawing pictures. She works in a car factory. She designs cars. She goes to work by car.
Tip: If you like drawing and math, you can be an engineer.
Li Xiaobin is an accountant. He works in a bank. He helps the bank use their money well. He likes working with numbers. He goes to work by bus, but he likes to walk home.
Tip: If you enjoy math, you can be an accountant.
Policewoman Yuan Yuan likes helping people. She likes English. She often helps tourists find their way. She goes to work by motor cycle.
Tip: If you enjoy helping people, you can work for the police.
【教學設計】
一、教學目標與要求
(1)知識目標: 能夠聽、說、認讀Lets read部分的短文,完成相應的活動。
(2)能力目標:能夠運用所學句型 If you like …, you can be ….和I like …. I can be ….來詢問別人和表達自己的理想,較好完成“招聘會”的活動。在任務中引導學生積極運用所學英語進行表達與交流,使學生的聽、說、讀、寫能力得到進一步的提高和發(fā)展。
(3)情感目標:在課堂中培養(yǎng)學生積極用英語表達的習慣,以及在各項活動中培養(yǎng)學生積極與他人合作的精神。
二、教學重難點分析
1.本課重點是操練鞏固本單元11個職業(yè)名稱的單詞和重點句型:What does he/she do? Where does he/she work? How does he/she work?
2.本課難點是幫助學生理解短文中的新語言,如:He helps the bank use their money well. He likes helping people. She often helps the tourists find their way.以及三個小建議。

Step1 ?Warm-up
1. ?Greeting between teacher and students
T: Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Yes.

在熱身時讓學生一起唱四年級上第六單元的歌謠My Father Is a ? Doctor。
設計意圖: 通過PPT 播放動漫歌曲,學生從色彩豐富,形象生動活潑的圖像以及美妙的音樂中快樂的開始了他們嶄新的一課,充分地體現(xiàn)了樂中學,學中樂的教學原則。這首歌謠與本課教學內(nèi)容有著密切的關系,放在課前作為熱身活動,能使學生更快地進入學習狀態(tài),同時也起到復習鞏固的作用。
T: Today, we have two groups, boys and girls . We have a match between our groups. Try your best.
設計意圖:將學生分為兩個大組進行競賽,給學生創(chuàng)設一個輕松愉快的語言學習氛圍,讓學習過程充滿樂趣并同時使他們感受到一定的挑戰(zhàn),滿足他們的競爭意識和成功感,從而使他們達到積極思維,創(chuàng)造潛能得以開發(fā)。

設計意圖:從談論學生父母的職業(yè)、工作地點和上班的交通工具開課,讓學生迅速進入學習狀態(tài)并復習舊知。通過日常會話,復習鞏固本單元主要職業(yè)名詞及句型,達到溫故而知新的目的。通過網(wǎng)上下載的學生熟悉和喜歡的五位人物(周杰倫、姚明,劉翔、邰麗華和雷鋒)的精美圖片,向?qū)W生展示了栩栩如生的五位朋友,使學生興趣盎然的開展話題。安排雷鋒的話題一是對學生進行及時的思想教育,二是出示He likes helping people.這一句型,為后面重點句型的學習進行了很好的鋪墊。
Step 3 ?Presentation
1.初讀課文
T: You did very well. Now, Miss Xiong wants to introduce three new friends to you. Who are they? Now please open your books, turn to page 63. Read it quickly and answer the questions on your books. Please underline the key sentences about the questions.(PPT 出示四個問題。)
Ss read the passage by selves and answer the questions on the books..

Let 4 students write the answers on the blackboard.

設計意圖:教師提出的問題都屬于舊知,通過尋找這四個問題的答案,讓學生帶著任務初讀課文,迅速有效的解決了課文中學生熟悉的內(nèi)容。通過這一小組活動,使學生能牢牢抓住一些描述三位朋友的關鍵詞,對整篇課文有一個全面整體的分析和理解。這樣將繁瑣的課文內(nèi)容進行了簡化,可以使師生將重點放到課文重難點的教學中。在做題中強調(diào)學生將問題答案的對應句子勾畫出來,培養(yǎng)學生的閱讀能力和學習習慣。讓學生將答案板書出示,有效的檢測了學生的學習情況。
2.精講課文

設計意圖:第二段對話中的He helps the bank use their money well. He likes working with numbers.是教材中的重難點,所以在老師的引導下一起學習和操練,有效的突破了重難點。這兩句句子較長,在操練中對新單詞的教授采取音、形、義、用四位一體教學方法,對句子的操練采取分段層層遞進的教學方式,操練扎實,學習效果好。
(2)T: Lets talk about something about Wang Li and Yuan Yuan. Read paragraph 1 and 3 carefully. Fill in the blanks.

設計意圖:將書上學到的知識運用于真實的生活場景之中,并得以拓展,體現(xiàn)了用英語的思想。我們已經(jīng)學過很多職業(yè)了,讓學生先說說, 既能充分發(fā)揮學生的想象力, 也能培養(yǎng)學生從小樹立自己的理想,認真學習,為實現(xiàn)自己的目標而努力奮斗這樣一個意識。
4.Progress
(1)T: Now ,who get the cards, you are the leader, and you need somebody work for you.
請你根據(jù)你們公司的工作性質(zhì),到人才市場去聘用一些人員為你的公司服務。(課前準備好獎勵卡,上面設計好幾個虛擬單位的名稱,表現(xiàn)好得到獎勵卡的學生則為該單位的負責人,負責招聘工作。)
(2)教師示范在求職介紹中找到自己需要的人才,并用英語表述理由。

(3)學生以小組為單位在教室內(nèi)尋找、閱讀求職信息,在小組內(nèi)討論并尋找自己所在公司需要的人才。試著用英語表述聘用原因。教師巡視指導。
(4)小組推舉一名代表介紹自己聘任的人員并說明理由。在班內(nèi)介紹。
設計意圖:設置擴展活動,讓學生在真實自然的任務型活動中擴展運用閱讀信息。

設計意圖:這是一項集交際、任務、評價等目標于一體的綜合性語言活動。通過創(chuàng)設一次招聘會的場景,讓學生在相對真實的語境中運用所學英語。學生通過實踐、參與等途徑,在學習過程中能將外部的操作活動和內(nèi)部的語言思維活動相結合起來,形成一個學生主體自己操作、自己體驗、自己感悟的過程,最終發(fā)展學生的綜合語言運用能力。同時也培養(yǎng)了學生用英語思辨的能力,真正做到“用中學,學中用”。
