Before you can delegate a task, you have to be clear on it. Too often leaders give an employee something to do without having a deep understanding of the task and its impact.

2. MAKING AN INCOMPLETE REQUEST提出不完整的請(qǐng)求
When you delegate, make sure you are providing enough information. Experts suggest writing down the steps before meeting with your employee to prepare for your initial delegation session.
委派任務(wù)時(shí),請(qǐng)確保你提供了足夠的信息。專(zhuān)家建議在與員工見(jiàn)面前,把步驟寫(xiě)下來(lái),為任務(wù)分配會(huì)議做準(zhǔn)備。
3. FORGETTING TO SET EXPECTATIONS ON ACHIEVEMENT

When you delegate a task, be sure to define what success looks like.

When will they be done? What does achievement look like? And who has to be happy with whats achieved?

4. MISSING REGULAR CHECK-INS

Too often leaders fail at delegating because they think of it as a “set it and forget it” exercise.
很多時(shí)候,領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者布置的任務(wù)失敗了,因?yàn)樗麄儼盐僧?dāng)成了一個(gè)“設(shè)置遂忘卻”的練習(xí)。
5. OVERLOOKING KNOWLEDGE AND KUDOS忽視知識(shí)和表彰
Throughout the project, leaders should be mindful of the process. There should be debrief lessons from the assignment. Are there things we learned while we were completing it? What can it tell us about the future on what we should do again, and what we would do differently based on what weve learned?
在整個(gè)項(xiàng)目中,領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者應(yīng)該注意這個(gè)過(guò)程。要有任務(wù)匯報(bào),在執(zhí)行過(guò)程中,學(xué)到了什么?我們之后再做可以了解什么?以及根據(jù)所學(xué)到的,會(huì)采取哪些不同的做法?
And dont forget to acknowledge the employees contribution.
