Three Ministries And Commissions Survey Rare Earths And Other Strategic Mineral Resources In Several Regions In China
Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) issued the Notice on Carrying out Survey of Rare Earths and Other Strategic Mineral Resources. Since June 10, 2019, the heads of departments under National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Natural Resources will lead their teams to carry out survey in Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi and Fujian, etc. in the forms of field survey and symposium.
The survey details are as below: (1) The overall status of upstream, middle and downstream and industry operation of rare earths and other strategic mineral resources in various provinces and regions, achievements and experience accumulated over the years in terms of resources conservation, development and application, existing problems, and overall thinking and specific considerations for further promoting the high-quality development of related industries; (2) opinions and suggestions for the development of rare earths and other strategic mineral resources nationwide, including industrial organization structural optimization, industrial distribution adjustment, resources conservation, green production, intellectualized reconstruction, high-end development, technical breakthrough, industrial chain integration of resources production and consumption, industrial cluster, international trade and cooperation, industry supervision and supporting policies; (3) Thinking, opinions and suggestions for improving the security and strategic value of rare earths and other strategic mineral resources.
