墨爾本文法學(xué)院Geoff Handbury科技中心的造型簡(jiǎn)潔,如同一座雕塑作品。科技中心的設(shè)計(jì)符合文法學(xué)院的歷史傳承和建校風(fēng)格,在建筑外型和色彩上使"藍(lán)石校園"特征更加突出。曲線形的建筑外形和面對(duì)的橢圓運(yùn)動(dòng)場(chǎng)地在風(fēng)格和色彩上相互呼應(yīng),自然地融入到校園四周的景觀環(huán)境之中。
室內(nèi)布局高度靈活,高度透明且非常高效,體現(xiàn)學(xué)校所致力的最先進(jìn)教學(xué)環(huán)境的目標(biāo)??萍贾行牡慕虒W(xué)和學(xué)習(xí)空間非常寬敞;空間設(shè)置符合合作式教學(xué)的要求,設(shè)計(jì)模糊教室和實(shí)驗(yàn)室空間內(nèi)正式/非正式學(xué)習(xí)之間的差異。
建筑首層中間是教師活動(dòng)區(qū),設(shè)計(jì)目的是為了鼓勵(lì)教職員工和技術(shù)人員之間的合作關(guān)系。從活動(dòng)區(qū)建筑分別向北向西延伸出兩條翼,設(shè)置的實(shí)驗(yàn)室和教室。建筑中心處的公共學(xué)習(xí)中庭將各個(gè)功能區(qū)連接起來。中庭陽(yáng)光充足,明亮而透明的空間將各個(gè)教學(xué)空間連接起來,為學(xué)生提供了多種多樣非正式的合作空間,增強(qiáng)了不同年級(jí)之間的互動(dòng)合作。建筑內(nèi)還設(shè)有一個(gè)2.5米寬的大臺(tái)階。
新的教學(xué)中心創(chuàng)造了一個(gè)支持學(xué)生探索、創(chuàng)造、學(xué)習(xí)和社交環(huán)境。
The new Geoff Handbury Science and Technology Hub at Melbourne Grammar School, is a simple,singular sculptural structure. The building is sympathetic to the campus heritage and identity,contributing to the ‘Bluestone Campus’ character in both form and colour. It also engages with the wider campus landscape; the curved building form a clear and direct response to the main oval.
The internal arrangement accommodates new and emerging pedagogies by being highly flexible,highly transparent, and highly efficient in its organisation. It is characterised by broader settings for teaching and learning; spaces that enable collaborative teaching; and blurred distinctions between formal and informal learning within and outside the classroom / laboratory spaces.
The layout it based upon a Central Hub for staff, promoting teaching staff and technician collegiality.Two flexible, formal pedagogical arms for laboratories and classrooms lead from the Hub, one to the north and one to the west. These zones are connected via a Learning Commons Atrium, at the heart of the building. This light fi lled, open and transparent space ties the formal pedagogical components together and contains a variety of informal collaborative settings for students, enhancing interconnectivity and promoting interaction. It also contains a dynamic and generous 2.5 metre wide stair.
The new building creates an educational environment that supports student enquiry, creativity,learning and social interaction.
