Comments
HU Rongrui: Since the construction is for both human and birds, who are in apparently different sizes, the "bird-apartment" presents an image of one body with two sides in different scales. Inside the construction, the connection between the space for human and bird is mainly unidirectional, in order to guarantee a convenient observation by human beings to birds and at the same time reduce their interference to birds to the maximum degree. The only question is whether the birds, who are so good at architecture construction, love freedom, and used to living in individual nests, like the pigeon hole "apartments" that is built by human or not.
ZHANG Lufeng: This is a treehouse for co-living of people and birds. The houses for human and birds adopt the same spatial structure, but in different sizes.People can stay on the tree like birds and become their neighbours. They can also peep over the daily life of birds through the peep holes without disturbing them.It is a win-win solution through which the birds get free houses and people get the opportunity of near observation to birds. However, it is hard to see such a kind of harmonious relationship between people and birds in China: birds, especially sparrows, stay far away from people.
