“源? 區(qū)”是一座污泥處理廠及環(huán)保教育中心，而“源?茶”是區(qū)內的休憩茶座?！霸? 茶”的設計，貫徹了“源?區(qū)”的兩大核心價值：創(chuàng)新及可持續(xù)發(fā)展；于是想到由灣仔碼頭回收的防撞木制作家具。團隊首先分析防撞木長年浸在水中所造成的侵蝕程度；將完整無缺的雕塑成餐枱及長櫈，嚴重受損的就用來制作“海立方”裝飾，以樹脂的狀態(tài)保存。團隊給予這些木頭一個第二生命，不單保存了珍貴的建筑物料，也保存了所承載的歷史。

T ? CAFE is a light refreshment area inside T ? PARK,a sludge treatment plant and environmental education centre in Hong Kong. To echo the innovation and sustainability, two key values that the centre promotes,designers came up with the idea to recycle fender woods collected from the demolished Wan Chai Pier to fabricate furniture. The team first assessed the degree of erosion of the fender woods resulting from years of submersion in water. Intact ones were sculpted into dining tables and long benches while the seriously defaced wood are made into “Ocean Cubes”, preserved in ocean-blue resin. By giving these woods a second life, the team preserved not only this precious building material but also the history imbued in them.
