大賽活動現(xiàn)場Intercultural Communicative Competence Test

跨文化交際能力大賽（后文簡稱“大賽”）是一個以英語語言為基礎(chǔ)的跨文化交際能力比賽。大賽在國內(nèi)得到了20多所頂尖高校的支持，在海外與美國U.S. News Global Education達(dá)成戰(zhàn)略合作，為獲獎選手提供世界知名高校的推薦名額與獎學(xué)金機(jī)會。

第二屆跨文化交際能力大賽高三年級復(fù)賽于2017年12月31日順利結(jié)束。本次復(fù)賽在全國共開設(shè)9個賽點，包括北京師范大學(xué)、哈爾濱工業(yè)大學(xué)、西南交通大學(xué)、山東大學(xué)、太原理工大學(xué)、紹興魯迅高級中學(xué)、邯鄲四中、臨朐一中等。全國共有近兩千名優(yōu)秀的高三選手參賽。

本次復(fù)賽考查范圍涵蓋跨文化基本知識、跨文化情境測試、綜合寫作等多方面的內(nèi)容，有聽力、閱讀、寫作三個模塊。區(qū)別于以往傳統(tǒng)的英語考試，在考查學(xué)生跨文化交際能力的同時，又注重學(xué)生的語言綜合應(yīng)用能力和創(chuàng)新思維能力。

來自內(nèi)蒙古的選手表示：“我英語成績一直很好，大學(xué)或研究生期間也有計劃出國深造，當(dāng)聽老師說有跨文化交際能力大賽時，覺得不同于傳統(tǒng)的英語比賽，就毫不猶豫地報名了，希望能通過參加本次大賽使自己得到提升。”

復(fù)賽成績已經(jīng)于2018年2月揭曉，175名選手獲得全國優(yōu)勝獎。

The Intercultural Communicative Competence Test (ICCT)is an English language based intercultural communicative competence assessment. It has been recognized by over 20 top universities in China. It also works in close cooperation with U.S. News Global Education to provide outstanding contestants with recommendations and scholarship opportunities to world-renowned universities in the United States.

The Semi-finals of the 2nd Intercultural Communicative Competence Test (ICCT)- senior year group were successfully completed on December 31, 2017. The semi-finals were held up at a total of 9 test centers in universities or high schools across the country, including Beijing Normal University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southwest Jiaotong University, Shandong University, Taiyuan University of Technology, ShaoxingLuxun High School, No.4 High School of Handan City, Linqu First Middle School Shandong and so on. Nearly 2,000 contestants participated in the tests.

The ICCT semi- fi nals are designed to assess contestants’practical usage of cultural knowledge, compassion for diversity and critical thinking skills in the context of cross-cultural scenarios, screening candidates through the testing modalities of listening, reading and writing.Compared with traditional language or cultural tests, it focuses on examining students ‘comprehensive linguistic application ability and innovative thinking ability crossculturally.

One contestant from Inner-Mongolia said after coming out of the test center: “I have always been very good at English at school, and I am also planning to study abroad in the U.S. When I heard about ICCT and konw how it was designed and tested, I signed up immediately. I felt it was truly different from what I have already seen and done.Hopefully, by taking part of it, I can gain more experiences to better prepare for my future academic studies.”

The result of the semi- fi nals was announced in early February 2018. 175 contestants won the national-level prizes.
