I.Pre -task preparation Warming up and Revision
1.Have the class watch an introduction of the teacher together.
2.Give some sentence patterns to the class to help them introduce themselves.
Introduction.
(拉近師生距離,激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。學(xué)生通過自我介紹,運(yùn)用舊知,同時(shí)也給本節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí)做好鋪墊。)
II.Presentation
1.Have the students say“Do you remember my birthday?”.Then have the class guess“Which festival is on 31st Oct?”Have the class say the festivals they have known“Do you know any otherfestivals?”.Have the class look at the screen Spring FestivalandMid-AutumnDay are Chinese festivalsand these arewestern festivals.Todaywe will talk about Western festivals.
(用頭腦風(fēng)暴形式,讓學(xué)生說(shuō)已知中西節(jié)日,激發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)興趣,為以后學(xué)習(xí)做好鋪墊。通過PPT,讓學(xué)生對(duì)中西節(jié)日有更清晰的認(rèn)識(shí),并引出課題。)
2.Have the class listen and repeat the western festivals following the tape.Have the class listen and underline the dates of the four festivals.Then have the class guess “Which is my favourite western festival?”.
聽音跟讀,糾正發(fā)音,并對(duì)四個(gè)西方節(jié)日有整體感知。(整體呈現(xiàn)課文,帶著任務(wù)聽,更有目的性,同時(shí)對(duì)課文有整體感知,并解決節(jié)日時(shí)間的任務(wù)目標(biāo)。猜老師最喜愛的節(jié)日,激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的欲望。)
3.Have the class watch a video about Halloween to find the answer.Then think“What can you see at Halloween?”.
(觀看視頻,整體感知,通過問題激活學(xué)生已有知識(shí),將語(yǔ)言的學(xué)習(xí)與生活實(shí)際緊密聯(lián)系。)
4.Teach“Jack-o’-lantern”.Listenand repeat. Readsome information in Chinese of“Jacko’-lantern”.
(通過聽音和圖片學(xué)習(xí)南瓜燈,給學(xué)生正確的語(yǔ)音輸入。中文信息拓展南瓜燈由來(lái),加深學(xué)生對(duì)萬(wàn)圣節(jié)的了解認(rèn)識(shí),使學(xué)生在習(xí)得語(yǔ)言的同時(shí)學(xué)習(xí)文化。)
5.Have the class describe the jack-o’-lanterns.Play the sound.Have the students understand the meaning of “scary”.Show atong-twisterThescary Harry scares the rare hare.
通過描述南瓜燈,在舊知復(fù)現(xiàn)的同時(shí)加深對(duì)萬(wàn)圣節(jié)的了解。通過圖片和聲音感知scary的意思,符合學(xué)生的心理水平和年齡特點(diǎn)。借助繞口令,不僅能有效操練新單詞,掌握字母組合are發(fā)音,還能活躍課堂氣氛。
6.Show some pictures of scary clothes. Have the class guess:Why do people wear scary clothes?Thenanswer:How do they get candy?After that say a chant about“Trick or treat?”.The teacher puts on a mask to show the game of“Trick or treat.”
帶著問題觀看視頻,使教學(xué)有的放矢,并通過小組討論找出答案。提出新知,使教學(xué)環(huán)節(jié)緊緊相扣。采用瑯瑯上口的chant有效練習(xí)新知。通過小組游戲的活動(dòng)形式操練目標(biāo)語(yǔ)言,讓學(xué)生在體驗(yàn)中鞏固新知。
7.Have the class read the sentences on the blackboard and teach“What a crazy day! ”.Show the pictures ofchocolate eggs,beautiful hats and Easter Bunny.Have the class remember.Read some information in Chinese of Easter.

8.Pick up the sentences for Easter in groups.Have the students read the text about Easter and add What a colourful day!Read the poem about Easter.

III.Post-task activities
1.Have the students say:Whathave you known about Thanksgiving and Christmas?Play a short video about them.
(先讓學(xué)生運(yùn)用已知介紹兩個(gè)熟悉的感恩節(jié)和圣誕節(jié),再播放視頻,從而給學(xué)生帶來(lái)視覺體驗(yàn),抓住重點(diǎn),調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)積極性。)
2.Have the students choose one they like and talk about it with partner.Have the class write it down and show it.
(把選擇權(quán)充分交給學(xué)生,體現(xiàn)自主學(xué)習(xí)。通過談?wù)撟约焊信d趣的節(jié)日這一真實(shí)的語(yǔ)用任務(wù),關(guān)注學(xué)生書寫能力的培養(yǎng),達(dá)到有效的語(yǔ)言輸出,從而形成能力。)
IV.Summary&Homework
Have the students show the cards they got and read the poems together.Show the homework to the class and tell them choose they like.
(富有感情地朗讀四首再構(gòu)文本的節(jié)日小詩(shī),不僅對(duì)本課的教學(xué)主要內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了有效的回顧,更讓學(xué)生體會(huì)到每個(gè)節(jié)日的不同含義,潤(rùn)物無(wú)聲地進(jìn)行了情感教育。
通過讓學(xué)生根據(jù)各自的能力水平選擇不同級(jí)別的作業(yè)形式,體現(xiàn)了教學(xué)面向全體關(guān)注差異這一課標(biāo)核心理念。)
