1 The Fourth Powerpuff Girl 飛天小女警添新成員

The City of Townsville’s most famous crime- fighting trio[三人組]has added a new member to its team! The powerpuff girls are now a foursome[四人組], as their longlost sister, Bliss joins the pack.

Bliss, short for Blisstina, made her debut[初次登場]in Cartoon Network’s five-part movie The Powerpuff Girls: The Power of Four. The dark-skinned, blue-haired superhero wears a purple dress and a headband[束發(fā)帶]with a heart in the middle.

3 Dwarf Festival in South Africa 南非慶祝袖珍節(jié)

Hundreds of people of all ages and sizes came to support and celebrate the achievements[成就]of people with dwarfism[侏儒癥]at a festival in South Africa.

Tug of war[拔河比賽]and beauty contest were among the fun and games.Bernadine Coetzer, the winner of the Miss Dwarf contest, said that you must not be ashamed[羞恥的]of how you look, and that you must be all yourself.

Organizers hope that the festival brought awareness[意識]for equal rights and opportunities for dwarves[侏儒癥患者].

The newest natural color for chocolate is pink. The color comes from a “newly discovered”cocoa bean[可可豆], and people have been developing it for 13 years.

5 The Cyclist Travelling Around the Globe in 79 Days 七十九天環(huán)球騎行

After 78 days, 14 hours and 14 minutes, Scottish adventurer[冒險家]Mark Beaumont rode back into Paris. It broke the previous[先前的]record of 123 days for a round-the-world bike trip.

And he even beat the fictional[虛構的]achievements of Phileas Fogg from the adventure novel Around the World in Eighty Days.

About 50 supporters were there to greet[迎接]him, including his wife and his daughters.

“I doubt[懷疑]I’ll ever do anything like it again,” Beaumont said, describing the journey as “de fi nitely the longest two-and-a-half months of my life.”
