T he author of the book Marina Lewyka is the best-seller among English literature in recent years. She was born in a refugee camp in Kiel, Germany, after the Second World War. Her parents are both Ukrainian. Lewyka bounded into fame with her dark comedy book A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian and won the 2005 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for comic writing at the Hay literary festival.
