Abstract: The thesis is mainly about the Audio-Lingual Method, and focuses on definition, the Case-Based teaching to help students to improve the motivation of study and communicative skills in practice, and further enhance the effect of teaching level.

Chapter One ?Introduction
Studying the target language, the skills of listening and speaking are the starting point. Nowadays, the teaching skills of foreign language in China is still located in the primary stage, the majority of students have little communicative skills and have no clear understanding of the rhythm and pronunciation except the ability of examination. And they have never been interested in the target language of the heart. The thesis helps us to understand the Audio-Lingual Method of creative mind. By changing the teaching pattern and teaching mind, we will explore the new teaching way and go beyond the mechanical training.
Chapter Two ?The Meaning of the Audio-Lingual Method
2.1 Teaching principles
First, put listening and speaking first and develop a good habit by practicing again and again;
Second, sentence is the center of teaching;
Third, “the target language is the only language to be used in the classroom”. (Barker, James L, 2001);
Fourth, find the teaching key points in compared with the difference of sentence structure between the native language and the target language;
Fifth, help students to form the correct imitation, pronunciation and grammar.[2]
Chapter Three ?The Design of Teaching-Case
3.1 The teaching target
The teaching target or the teaching key point has two aspects: on the aspect of study, the contents aim to improve the motivation of study; on the aspect of application, the contents aim to improve the communicative skills.
3.2 As for teacher
First, a good English teacher should have a specific range of progression knowledge, especially his pronunciation. As for students, teacher is the key. An excellent pronunciation will attract them immediately and improve their interesting to study.
Second, teachers respect students to win the respect of students, who should be willing to listening his childrens heartfelt and communicate more with them after class;
Third, teachers should pay much attention to the latest news or developments of teaching methods all the time by taking part in some professional seminar.
3.3 The design of teaching process
As we know, teacher should explore the new method of teaching all the time. On the aspect of language of listening, the VOA special English is the good material for students to imitate. Teacher will prepare a MP3 to download 8 categories of VOA Special English at most, and regard this mp3 as the tape of songs. J. B. Watson, who established the psychological school of behaviorism, put forward the Stimulus-Response theory. The 10 standard voices will stimulate students ear and the beautiful rhythms and excellent pronunciation will be responded to the brain. After several days of Tape-Style training, teacher will provide an interesting chance for students. For encouraging the motivation of study, Teacher chooses one of these 10 materials first, and then chooses two students to cooperate with each other to read these materials. Finally, the two students will be proud of successfully cooperation and find the beautiful things of the target language during the response. Certainly, they will try to improve the motivation of study.
Show yourself---Reinforcement period
On the aspect of application, the contents aim to improve the students communication skills. Therefore, teacher provides some opportunities for students. B. F. Skinner put forward Stimulus-Response-Reinforcement theory.
Teacher chooses one student to read a new passage to examine his harvest during the Tape-Style training. In fact, when people enter the society, they often do something without good preparation. The training of new passages will help students to regard the beautiful rhythm as the habit.
Certainly, language study is a tool for communication. Teacher could invite a foreign friend to visit your class to provide a good chance for students. For showing their progress of language training, students will care the pronunciation and rhyme during the communication with that foreigner under a serious attitude. As a native language speaker, the foreigner could help students to beyond the mechanical imitation and form the good rhyme of themselves.
Chapter Four ?Conclusion
The application of the Audio-Lingual Methods creatively can guide students to consolidate knowledge and improve the motivation of study and communicative skills. As a teacher, you should explore the latest development of teaching methods to help students to foster the new consciousness improve your teaching skills. [1]
