Full Chinese Content of Rectisol Process

As a non-standard core equipment of the -101 ℃class rectisol unit, the hydrogen sulfide/carbon dioxide absorber fabricated by the Wuhan Donghai Heavy-duty Petrochemical Equipment Manufacturing Company has successfully come on stream in an 1.8 Mt/a coal-to-methanol unit at the Inner Mongolia Jinchentai Energy Group in Ordos city. It is learned that this project has symbolized the full Chinese content for realization of rectisol technology in China, while providing necessary physical basis and basic data for revising the national standard “Low alloy steel plate for manufacture of pressure vessel”.

The results of 120-day-long trial run have revealed that this absorber displays excellent parameters over the design targets in terms of the overall steam consumption and scrubbing recovery rate, with its comprehensive full-load operating cost far less that other similar overseas products.
