“空前絕后”出自《宣和畫(huà)譜》：顧冠于前，張絕于后，而道子乃兼有之。成語(yǔ)指從前沒(méi)有過(guò)，今后也不會(huì)有，多用來(lái)形容非凡的成就或盛況。

During the Northern and Southern Dynasties， another great painternamed Zhang Sengyao rose. He was good at drawing figure stories andreligious paintings， and he was very famous at that time. 所以，后人評(píng)價(jià)這兩位畫(huà)家時(shí)，認(rèn)為顧愷之的繪畫(huà)成就超越前人，張僧繇的繪畫(huà)成就后人莫及。
