At the beginning, “World Milk Day” was on the second Wednesday of May. But in 2000, FAO(聯(lián)合國糧農(nóng)組織)set “World Milk Day” on the day of June 1st. It makes people know more about milk.
On “World Milk Day”, farmers clean the farms up. They stick some pictures about milk foods. Some students and teachers come to visit the farms. People can know more knowledge about milk from the activities.
Milk can stay in our body for more time, because it has more nutrient substance(營養(yǎng)物質(zhì)). Drinking milk can make our body work slower, so milk is more thirst-quenching(解渴的) than water.
Long time ago, people put frogs into the milk to keep fresh, just like a fridge(冰箱). The frog skin is special(特殊的). It makes the bacteria(細(xì)菌) grow slowly.
Truly, milk is full of calcium(鈣), and drinking milk is a way of having more calcium. But it’s not useful for everyone.
Milk is everywhere in our daily life. Nowadays, milk is an important part in some yummy foods, such as cream(奶油), cheese(奶酪) and butter(黃油).
