I work because I love to work

I live in Tanzhou of Zhongshan,a town lying in the south of the Pearl River Delta.Almost every household shares a plantation which produces seasonal fruits such as guavas(番石榴)and pineapples, my family being no exception. When they begin to ripen, fruits of every description perfume the air. That is when I offer my help.
Last Sunday,my parents had left early to work on the plantation before I could stagger out of bed. I was torn between the desire to sink back to the soft warm dreams and the desire to leap from my bed to do the chores for my family. The latter proved stronger. After a hasty breakfast,I made a rush up to my parents, whose clothes had been soaked in sweat.I helped envelop every branch of guavas in a sack of plastic bags to protect them against the

Every day is International Workers' Day damage from birds.Since I stayed in this position for a long time,my waist ached and salty sweat rolled into my eyes. I paused and looked around, only to find the sky and extensive fields seemingly melting into each other. My heart danced in the breeze.
Around noon, we dragged our heavy legs back home. I, exhausted from the day's hard work, fell into a fast and profound sleep. What a tough but rewarding day!

In honor of the Great Workers Strike in Chicago, the Socialist Congress unanimously agreed to make May 1st a common holiday for the international proletariat on July 14,1889. This is the origin of International Workers' Day. In my opinion, International Workers'Day is actually for those who do not usually work to work. But in Grandma's mind,365 days throughout a year are International Workers' Day. That is, every day is her“Labor Day”.Grandma once said,“If I don't work for a day,I will feel sick.”
Grandma is an expert in farming. The rice we eat in our family is planted by grandparents. Even during the Spring Festival, Grandma goes to the neighboring village to help cut down the sugarcane. What impresses me most is when I went to fertilize the field with Grandma last year. Our family contracted to grow eucalyptus(桉樹)on a hill. And it was time for us to fertilize trees there. I struggled to carry the fertilizer weighing over 25 kg while Grandma put it on her shoulder with ease and walked swiftly. We had to carry the fertilizer up the steep hillside, dig holes under trees, and fill the holes with fertilizer.I was out of breath after spreading the fertilizer and turned around, only to find Grandma, who was then 68 years old, working non-stop.
This is Grandma,my role model in life.

We reap what we sow

Labor education is incorporated into our school's curriculum to lift our hardworking spirit, in addition to fostering students with an all-round moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic grounding.
Starting from last semester, we have been participating in the FARMING &STUDYING project held by our school in groups every week. First, to make the soil fluffy,we used shovels and pickaxes to dig as deep as 8-12 inches to get weeds out at their root in the assigned area. It was a more skill-demanding and tiring job than I had expected. The soil was so stiff that we needed to take turns to dig deep. But we could hardly contain our excitement for getting close to nature as well as learning more hands-on skills.
Then came the transplanting. Our teacher told us to turn the soil over again and lightly water the soil so that the root of the newly transplanted crops can soak together. We grew corn, pepper and even Chinese herbs. We carefully yet awkwardly put the delicate plants into the holes, added soil and patted softly. This was no easy job; you need to use some elbow grease to make it.The following laboring classes were about routine group work such as weeding, watering, fertilizing and repelling insects.
A few months later, standing before our corn, a sense of pride flushed over. We learned teamwork and problem-solving skills. We reap what we sow.
