5月18日，由中國(guó)貿(mào)促會(huì)貿(mào)易投資促進(jìn)部、美國(guó)駐華大使館商務(wù)處共同主辦，重慶市貿(mào)促會(huì)承辦的中國(guó)（重慶）—美國(guó)金融圓桌會(huì)在威斯汀酒店舉行。美國(guó)駐華大使館商務(wù)參贊哈國(guó)瑞率領(lǐng)的美國(guó)金融代表團(tuán)，以及來自重慶市相關(guān)部門、開發(fā)區(qū)、銀行及企業(yè)代表，共80余人出席會(huì)議。

哈國(guó)瑞在致辭中表示，商務(wù)與貿(mào)易是中美兩國(guó)關(guān)系的支柱，希望通過本次活動(dòng)加深中美，特別是美國(guó)與重慶市企業(yè)界的聯(lián)系，對(duì)中美企業(yè)交往產(chǎn)生積極影響。此次代表團(tuán)來自美國(guó)金融服務(wù)行業(yè)的各個(gè)領(lǐng)域，選擇訪渝的主要原因是堅(jiān)信重慶市將走在金融領(lǐng)域開放前列，期待重慶的開放政策吸引更多美國(guó)企業(yè)落戶重慶，并希望未來帶領(lǐng)更多美國(guó)企業(yè)訪渝。交流會(huì)上，我市相關(guān)部門及中外企業(yè)參會(huì)代表分別就推進(jìn)金融領(lǐng)域合作介紹了情況。

On May 18， the China （Chongqing） - U.S. Financial Roundtable， co-sponsored by the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT） and the Commercial Office of the U.S. Embassy in China， was held at the Westin Hotel. Some 80 people attended the Roundtable， including the U.S. financial delegation led by Gregory Harris， commercial counselor of the U.S. Embassy in China， and representatives from relevant departments， development zones， banks and enterprises in Chongqing.

In his speech， Gregory Harris said that commerce and trade are the pillars of the Sino-US relations; that he hoped that through this event， the ties between China and the US， especially between the US and the business community in Chongqing， would be deepened， and that it would have a positive impact on Sino-US business exchanges; that the delegation came from various fields of financial service industry in the US， whose main reason for choosing to visit Chongqing is that they firmly believe that Chongqing will be in the forefront of financial opening-up and the opening-up policy of Chongqing is expected to attract more American enterprises to settle in Chongqing; and that he hoped to lead more American enterprises to visit Chongqing in the future. At the exchange meeting， representatives of the departments of Chongqing and the Chinese and foreign enterprises respectively introduced the situation of promoting cooperation in the financial field.
