Mary is an American girl. She is 13. She lives in Shijiazhuang with her parents now. She doesnt know much Chinese. She can hardly speak any Chinese. Sometimes her Chinese friends cant understand her.

It was a Sunday morning. The sky was blue and the sun was shining brightly. Mary was going to the zoo to see animals. She was waiting at the bus stop. She asked a boy which bus she should take. But the boy couldnt understand her. Then she drew a picture of some animals and showed it to him. The boy smiled and then told her the right bus number.
