Learning English with movies is fun and helpful. I remember when I was a child， I had to watch hours and hours of really old movies like Singing in the Rain， Mary Poppins to learn English. If you dont know these movies—youre welcome to check1 them out—theyre really old！I didnt really like them， so I didnt feel excited at all when watching these movies. And because of that， here are some tips for you to learn English with movies.

看電影學(xué)英語既有趣又有益。我記得當(dāng)我還是個孩子的時候，不得不看很多很老的電影學(xué)習(xí)英語，比如《雨中曲》《歡樂滿人間》。如果你不知道這些電影，歡迎你去查一下，它們真的很老！我不太喜歡它們，所以看這些電影時我一點(diǎn)也不興奮。因此，這里給大家?guī)讉€看電影學(xué)英語的小訣竅。

Watch a movie that you like and easy to understand2.

For beginners in English， I think you can learn English through animations3. Because the English in them is usually very friendly and easy to understand.

看一部你喜歡且容易理解的電影。

對于英語初學(xué)者，我認(rèn)為你可以通過動畫片來學(xué)習(xí)英語。因?yàn)閯赢嬈锏挠⒄Z通常很友好，并且易于理解。

Bring your dictionary.

When you hear a word youre interested in， look it up！Because you went through the trouble4 to understand it， youll remember that word for a long time！

當(dāng)你聽到一個感興趣的詞時，馬上去查！因?yàn)槟阗M(fèi)盡心機(jī)去搞懂它，就會在很長一段時間牢牢記住這個詞！

Repeat5 short phrases！

Some times， you might hear something cool in the movie. For example， some short phrases like， “Hell yeah！” or “Sure thing” or “You betcha！” that are commonly used in English. If you like how it sounds， it really helps to repeat it！After saying it out loud a while，you will remember it for a longer time！Its a great and enjoyable6 exercise—one of my favorites.

重復(fù)短語！

有時候，你可能會在電影中聽到某些很棒的東西。例如“Hell yeah！”“Sure thing”或者“You betcha！”等這些短語，都是英語中常用的。如果你真的喜歡它們的發(fā)音，這會促使你跟讀！大聲讀出來一會兒后，你會記得很久的！這是一個很有益而愉快的練習(xí)——是我最喜歡的練習(xí)之一。

Watch with and without subtitles7.

I know it can be really difficult to watch a movie in a foreign language without subtitles. So when you watch a movie the first time， just turn on subtitles. But if you get the chance8 to watch it a second time， try turning off subtitles. This way， you already know the story from the first time you watched it. And this time， you can try listening to some words that you might have checked up last time. Or you might try to see how much you can understand the movie without subtitles.

帶或不帶字幕看電影。

我知道看一部沒有字幕的外語電影是很困難的。所以當(dāng)你第一次看某部電影時，就打開字幕吧。但如果你有機(jī)會再看一遍，就試著關(guān)掉字幕。這樣，你第一次看的時候就已經(jīng)知道這個故事了。那這次，你可以試著聽你上次查過的單詞，或者試著看看沒有字幕你能理解多少電影內(nèi)容。

Just let it go. Last of all， remember what we said in the start？ Watching movies should be fun. So if you miss a word， a phrase， or even many sentences， thats okay！Just follow along the subtitles and learn that way. Dont make yourself feel bad. Watching movies is supposed10 to be fun！
