2018年3月16日至4月3日，第12屆“威爾士周”系列活動(dòng)在重慶舉辦。2006年重慶與英國(guó)威爾士簽訂友好合作備忘錄以來(lái)，雙方在政府關(guān)系、經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易、文化教育和科技創(chuàng)新等方面積極交流探索，合作日益密切。

繼2007年首屆“威爾士周”在重慶成功舉辦，每年3月的“威爾士周”已經(jīng)成為重慶市國(guó)際友好交流的年度活動(dòng)和重要載體，成為中英地方合作的一張亮麗名片。同時(shí)，也成為威爾士向重慶市民展示經(jīng)貿(mào)、科技、文化、旅游等方面的窗口。

本屆“威爾士周”有內(nèi)涵豐富的文化藝術(shù)交流、經(jīng)貿(mào)、教育、旅游一系列活動(dòng)，包括“馬丁·蒂尼畫廊藝術(shù)展”“英國(guó)威爾士數(shù)學(xué)教師代表團(tuán)訪渝”“威爾士旅游推介會(huì)暨卡塔爾航空卡迪夫航線發(fā)布會(huì)”“重慶—威爾士醫(yī)療大健康信息化論壇”等。

From March 16th to April 3rd， 2018， the 12th "Welsh Week" series activities were held in Chongqing. Since Chongqing signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation with Wales in 2006， the two sides have actively exchanged ideas on government relations， business and trade， cultural education， and scientific and technological innovation， which contributed to closer mutual cooperation.

Following the success of the first “Welsh Week” in Chongqing in 2007， the “Welsh Week” in March has become an annual event and an important carrier of Chongqing's international friendly exchanges， and has become a bright embodiment for Sino-British local cooperation. At the same time， it has also become a window for Wales to showcase the economy， technology， culture， tourism and other aspects to Chongqing citizens.

This “Welsh Week” launched a series of activities covering cultural and artistic exchanges， trade， education， tourism. It included “Martin Tinney Gallery Art Exhibition”， “British Welsh Mathematics Teacher Delegation Visit”， “Welsh Tourism Promotion Conference and Qatar Air Cardiff Route Conference “， and “Chongqing - Welsh Medical Health Information Forum”， to cite but a few.
