I heard a thousand blended notes,While in a grove I sate reclined,In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

威廉·華茲華斯(William Wordsworth，1770—1850)是“湖畔派”詩人的重要代表。華茲華斯關(guān)于自然的詩歌，優(yōu)美動人，其突出特點(diǎn)就是寓情于景，情景交融。這首《寫于早春》詩風(fēng)清麗而略含憂傷。詩人用細(xì)膩輕柔的語言描寫自然的和諧與歡樂，鮮花、鳥雀、嫩芽，這些最細(xì)微的自然之景在詩人筆下是如此曼妙美好。然而如果早春的情愫僅僅是歡暢，固然美麗，卻也未免單薄。詩人在早春的思想里，溝通了自然與靈魂；從萬物的歡樂中，詩人想到了人間的痛苦和悲傷，詩中充滿控訴的無奈。
