Its not easy having cancer， especially when youre a kid. And its even harder when that bald[禿頭的] chemo[化療] head tells the whole world that youre sick.

So Garfield， Hello Kitty and the fine-feathered cast of the movie Rio 2 are going bald， too. Cartoonists around the world are shaving[剃] their creations as part of a Brazilian project that aims to reduce the stigma[恥辱] of cancer treatment.

Children “have to fight the prejudice[偏見] from friends， from colleagues at school and from people they see on the street，” says Roberto Fernandez， executive creative officer[執(zhí)行創(chuàng)意總監(jiān)] at the ad agency Ogilvy Brazil， which launched[發(fā)起] the campaign[運動] with GRAACC， a childhood cancer nonprofit in Sao Paulo. “They start to be treated as somebody special， in a bad sense. People avoid them； friends at school bully[欺負] them for being bald.”

The Bald Cartoons concept started in Brazil back in November， when characters in cartoons and comic books popular there， such as Monicas Gang注1， started taking a bit off the top. Later its going international[國際的]， with about 40 characters from across the globe including Garfield， Snoopy， Hello Kitty and Finn from the TV show Adventure Time注2.

The story lines stay the same， Fernandez tells Shots注3， but the characters have no hair—or fur—on their heads.

“Theyre bald with no explanation， just like if a kid with cancer is bald…you dont have to bother them about the fact that he or she is bald，” he says. “Thats how we want to see kids. I want to see kids playing happily， no matter if they have or dont have hair.”

In Brazil， the Bald Cartoons campaign became so popular it even got a Twitter shout out[大喊] from Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

But Fernandez is most excited about childrens reactions. One patient said in a video，“I thought that if I took my hat off at school people would laugh， but now I dont feel that anymore.”

“And he took off the cap，” Fernandez says.“And all these friends clapped[鼓掌] for him immediately. And that was a huge emotional moment for us.”

正因如此，加菲貓、凱蒂貓以及電影《里約大冒險2》里那群有著一身漂亮羽毛的角色們也剃了個光頭。巴西發(fā)起了一項旨在減輕癌癥治療（對患者的）影響的活動，作為活動的部分內(nèi)容，世界各地的卡通畫家紛紛給他們所創(chuàng)作的角色換了發(fā)型。

孩子們“不得不與各種偏見進行斗爭，這些偏見可以來自他們的朋友、學校的教職員工，以及路上遇到的行人”，巴西奧美創(chuàng)意總監(jiān)羅伯托·費爾南德斯這樣說道，這家廣告公司與位于（巴西）圣保羅市的癌癥兒童非盈利性機構(gòu)——巴西癌癥兒童醫(yī)院（GRAACC）一同發(fā)起了該項活動?！霸谝粋€不好的層面上，他們開始被當作特殊分子對待，被人們遠遠避開，會因為光頭而被學校里的小朋友欺負?！?/p>

“光頭卡通”這一構(gòu)想早在（去年）11月就在巴西出現(xiàn)了，當時在例如《莫妮卡小友幫》這樣的本土人氣連環(huán)畫及漫畫中，角色們的頭頂都“清爽”了一把。這一風潮隨后走向國際化，全球有四十幾個卡通人物參與到活動中來，其中包括加菲貓、史努比、凱蒂貓以及電視動畫《探險活寶》中的芬恩等。

費爾南德斯向自拍應用平臺Shots表示，這些漫畫故事本身并無改動，只是角色們都沒頭發(fā)——或者頭頂上的毛禿了。

“他們無緣無故地禿頂了，就像癌癥兒童光了頭那樣……你沒必要因為他/她是個光頭就去打擾別人的生活，”他說。“我們希望看到孩子們像這樣生活下去。我希望看到孩子們快快樂樂地玩鬧戲耍，無論他們有沒有頭發(fā)?！?/p>

“光頭卡通”活動在巴西大受歡迎，就連巴西總統(tǒng)迪爾瑪·羅塞夫也在推特上為其喊話求關(guān)注。

不過，最讓費爾南德斯為之振奮的還是孩子們對此的反應。有一名患兒在一段視頻中說：“我原本以為，如果我在學校摘掉帽子，大家都會嘲笑我，但是現(xiàn)在我不再這么想了?！?/p>

“然后他摘下了帽子，”費爾南德斯說?！八呐笥褌兞⒖虨樗恼坪炔?。這對我們來說實在是激動人心的時刻?！?/p>
