This series,The Times of the Day(colour lithograph, each 107.7cm ×39cm, 1899), is one of Alphonse Mucha’s decorative panels.

[2]In this quartet (titled“Morning Awakening”,“Brightness of Day”,“Evening Contemplation”and“Night’s Rest”), Mucha combined fresh yet delicate colours with exuberant floral motifs.Four female figures represent the times of the day, each set in a natural environment with an intricate framing,reminiscent of a Gothic window.
