Bosai Group's 2.5-million-ton Alumina Project Settled in Gaizhou, Liaoning
In early February, the Gaizhou Municipal Government of Liaoning Province and Bosai Group held a signing ceremony for joint construction of a 2.5-million-ton alumina project.
It's learnt that in order to make full use of its overseas rich bauxite resources and the advantageous port logistics in Bayuquan, Yingkou, and to strengthen and develop local industrial economy, Bosai Group, after full investigation and demonstration for more than a year, intends to invest RMB 6 billion in Gaizhou City to build an alumina project with an annual output of 2.5 million tons. The project aims to build a world-class benchmark enterprise in the alumina industry and is expected to be completed and put into production in the second half of 2019. It will generate annual sales income of RMB 8 billion and annual taxes of about RMB 500-600 million and provide jobs for about 1,000 people. As a large investment project in the history of Bosai Group, the project will become the first alumina production project in Northeast China and make new contributions to the rapid development of both Gaizhou City and Bosai Group, creating a win-win situation.
