Hebei Songhe And Chilwee Group Entered Into A Project Of Annual Disposal Of 600000 Tons Of Renewable Lead

On Oct., 25, 3018, Hebei Songhe Renewable Resources Limited Liability Company and Chilwee Group signed an agreement, wherein, a project of annual disposal of 600000 tons of waste storage battery and comprehensive utilization of lead-bearing wastes will be initiated in Xinhe County, Hebei. This represents a firm step forward in the construction of green supply chain of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Battery Industry Alliance.

As the investor of this project, Hebei Songhe Renewable Resources Limited Liability Company introduced itself and its subsidiary Xingtai Songhe. Hebei Songhe showed its determination to implement “Layout Plan of Hebei Xiong’an New Area”. Taking this agreement as a good opportunity, Hebei Songhe will give full play to its vast experience in renewable lead industry and join hands with Chilwee and other leading enterprises for continuous cooperation throughout green supply chain. According to chilwee, as a manufacturing enterprise that entered battery field early, Chilwee has been putting great emphasis on environmental protection responsibility and social responsibility. Chilwee has been working with more than 300000 battery sales terminals nationwide to initiate and deploy channels and platforms for reverse recycling of lead storage battery covering more than 10 provinces and cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shandong, Fujian. It also developed Internet information platform of full life circle of green battery production. The strengthened cooperation between Chilwee Group and Hebei Songhe represents the determination to implement our manufacturer responsibility extension and important layout of integrated cooperation among Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Only through the strategic cooperation among battery manufacturers and renewable core enterprises in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and nearby areas and only through the construction of green supply chain of waste lead storage battery can we radically block the channels for peddlers to illegally recycle waste batteries. In this way, we can eliminate the raw material source for and environmental pollution risks brought by individual workshops that illegally dismantle and smelt batteries. We can achieve win-win by green innovation and collaborative development.

The project of annual disposal of 600000 tons of waste storage battery and comprehensive utilization of lead-bearing wastes is jointly initiated by Hebei Songhe Renewable Resources Limited Liability Company and Chilwee Group. This project uses waste batteries recycled by Chiwee reverse logistics as raw material to generate renewable lead and plastic particles that are also used as materials for Hebei Chilwee to generate new batteries. This is a successful mode of green circular industrial chain of “production-recycling-regenerating”. The both companies will give play to their own advantages and get combined together to construct industrial park for lead storage battery production, recycling and regenerating. This park will take charge of related industrial transfer in Beijing, Tianjin, and Xiong’an to facilitate collaborative development integrating battery production, recycling and disposal in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, to develop a reproducible and propagable green supply chain mode. Total project investment is RMB 2 billion, with Phase 1 and Phase 2 to be constructed. Phase 1 will be able to annually dispose 300000 tons of waste storage batteries and lead-bearing wastes. It will produce 200000 tons of renewable lead and alloy lead, 10000 tons of lead components, 20000 tons of electrolyte and 45000 tons of plastic raw materials. After establishment, the park will be one of the biggest lead-bearing disposal enterprises in North China, with annual sales volume of RMB 4 billion and annual paid tax of RMB 360 million, creating local job opportunities for over 1300 people.

From now on, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Battery Industry Alliance will continue to aim to promote the collaborative development integrating battery production, recycling and disposal in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei; to focus on the development opportunities and challenges facing battery and secondary lead to facilitate the construction of green supply chain; to promote green circular development of “production-recycling-reusing” of lead storage battery; to help to realize the transition from “illegalness and disorder” to “l(fā)egitimation and good order” in waste storage battery recycling in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area; to eventually make contributions to our ecological civilization construction.
