聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練早在初中和小學(xué)的教學(xué)中很常見(jiàn),卻常被高中教師所忽略,大多數(shù)人認(rèn)為是多余的。在幾十年的課堂教學(xué)中筆者深深體會(huì)到,聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練就像是一步銳利的武器。恰當(dāng)使用它可以為自己的教學(xué)掃清障礙,鋪平道路。那么如何進(jìn)行聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練呢?筆者主要使用了以下幾個(gè)方面的聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練方法。[1]
首先,每次上新課前,根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況,把有關(guān)課文的內(nèi)容和任務(wù),時(shí)間,地點(diǎn),主要情節(jié),概括成百十來(lái)個(gè)單詞的小短文。在聽(tīng)完單詞,詞組的錄音后,馬上就聽(tīng)寫(xiě)。第一遍光聽(tīng)不寫(xiě),第二遍邊聽(tīng)邊寫(xiě),第三遍邊聽(tīng)邊改。如:人教版必修一第三單元可以改編為Wang Kun and Wang Wei are brother and sister. They have dreamed of taking a great bike trip. It was Wang Wei who first had the idea to cycle along the Mekong River. In order to do the trip properly,they went to the library and found a large atlas with good maps in it.After a careful study of the maps, they found the source of the river.They rode bicycles to travel along the Mekong River, whose source is in Qinghai Province. Finally, they reached Dali in Yunnan Province, where Dao Wei and Yu Hang joined them. The four of them went on with their great bike trip.
在開(kāi)始課文教學(xué)時(shí),先有了這么一個(gè)聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練,它既簡(jiǎn)化了學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)課文的難度,又增強(qiáng)了學(xué)生對(duì)課文內(nèi)容的理解以及他的內(nèi)在聯(lián)系、前因后果、主要線索的掌握,這樣,促進(jìn)了學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的積極性及主動(dòng)性,還密切聯(lián)系師生之間的相互配合。同時(shí),體現(xiàn)了課堂教學(xué)中的教師的主導(dǎo)作用和學(xué)生的主體作用的教學(xué)理念。在聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練時(shí)應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn)。
1.聽(tīng)寫(xiě)時(shí)不要照本宣讀,而要以講故事的形式,生動(dòng)富有表情。
2.聽(tīng)寫(xiě)三遍后,允許學(xué)生翻書(shū)查字典或互相提示。
3.時(shí)間一般不超過(guò)10分鐘,以免喧賓奪主。
為了讓學(xué)生更好地掌握所學(xué)的知識(shí)并初步養(yǎng)成聽(tīng)錄音寫(xiě)英語(yǔ)的習(xí)慣,我也常用錄音機(jī)給學(xué)生聽(tīng)寫(xiě)。具體做法:
1.課文中的單詞、詞組以5-7個(gè)為一段落,每聽(tīng)一個(gè)停一下。間隔時(shí)間以中學(xué)生為主,然后再?gòu)念^到尾一個(gè)一個(gè)對(duì)一遍。
2.課文中的某些含新句型的句子可采取聽(tīng)前半句,后半句讓學(xué)生自己完成。
例如:①The restaurant is based on trust,( and it is working all right.)
②Based on trust,( the restaurant is working all right.)
③The restaurant,(which is based on trust, is working all right.)
3.準(zhǔn)備一些有關(guān)課文的綜合材料,主要根據(jù)參考中的聽(tīng)寫(xiě)材料。可以把課文中出現(xiàn)過(guò)的某些語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)單詞空著,讓學(xué)生根據(jù)課文聽(tīng)錄音,邊聽(tīng)邊填,一般以10-15個(gè)空為宜。在適當(dāng)?shù)牡胤竭€可以讓學(xué)生根據(jù)課文錄音中的單詞填寫(xiě)出與其同詞根的名詞,形容詞,副詞,動(dòng)詞,反義詞或同義詞。例如: 根據(jù)課文內(nèi)容聽(tīng)錄音, 在空白處填入1個(gè)適當(dāng)?shù)膯卧~或括號(hào)內(nèi)單詞的正確形式。例如:人教版必修一第四單元的課文可以改編如下:
A terrible earthquake hit the city of Tangshan on July 28, 1976.Many houses fell down and sand filled the wells 1. instead of water.People were greatly 2. shocked . The whole city 3. was destroyed completely and the world seemed 4. at its end. The people of Tangshan didn’t lose hope, because 150, 000 soldiers were sent 5. to help the rescue workers. The soldiers tried their best to dig out those 6. who were trapped. They also built shelters for the 7. survivors . 8. slowly , the city began to come back to life. The water in the village wells 9. rose and fell. Fish jumped out of the ponds. Strange noises were heard in the sky, but people thought little of 10. them .
4.以句或段為單位的聽(tīng)寫(xiě),要教會(huì)學(xué)生在第一遍聽(tīng)時(shí),一邊聽(tīng)一邊了解大意。記下一些具體符號(hào),像日期、時(shí)間、數(shù)字等。以了解大意為主要目的,能記多少記多少,這與聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練相配合的聽(tīng)寫(xiě)課采用自由的聽(tīng)寫(xiě)方式,學(xué)生能把所聽(tīng)到的大意寫(xiě)下即可。聽(tīng)寫(xiě)的句子既可復(fù)雜也可簡(jiǎn)單。
通過(guò)訓(xùn)練筆者認(rèn)為,長(zhǎng)期堅(jiān)持這樣做,學(xué)生的聽(tīng)力水平都有不同程度的提高,詞匯、句型遺忘率大大降低了;增強(qiáng)學(xué)生對(duì)上下文的判斷能力,口頭表達(dá)能力也有了相應(yīng)地改進(jìn),這基于學(xué)生在進(jìn)行聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練時(shí),通常都要默念幾遍的原因。
為了進(jìn)一步了解學(xué)生掌握和運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言的實(shí)際能力,筆者采用了能力提升式的聽(tīng)寫(xiě)。這主要是以課文中出現(xiàn)的語(yǔ)言現(xiàn)象和學(xué)過(guò)的舊知識(shí)為基礎(chǔ),從英文雜志、報(bào)刊中找到一些相應(yīng)的材料,必要時(shí)刪改一下。讓學(xué)生理解大意,記下關(guān)鍵詞。但課文中出現(xiàn)的句型,則要求他們必須寫(xiě)下來(lái)。對(duì)于某些較難的單詞,筆者在黑板上進(jìn)行必要的提示。學(xué)生聽(tīng)到了音,看到了行,對(duì)詞的理解大大加快了。這類(lèi)聽(tīng)寫(xiě)可使學(xué)生把在實(shí)際生活中看到的人和事和他們所學(xué)的知識(shí)結(jié)合起來(lái),能提高他們的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,鞏固書(shū)本知識(shí),還增加了一些有關(guān)日常生活、政治、體育方面的知識(shí)。
教師在平常的課堂教學(xué)中,適當(dāng)?shù)慕o學(xué)生進(jìn)行聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練,不僅可以引導(dǎo)學(xué)生一步步的學(xué)好英語(yǔ),提高聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)的綜合能力、增強(qiáng)自信心和學(xué)習(xí)興趣,而且通過(guò)雙向交流,還可以建立師生之間的相互合作,相互支持的和諧的人際關(guān)系。通過(guò)聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練,這是英語(yǔ)課堂教學(xué)中最典型的方法,長(zhǎng)期堅(jiān)持效果顯著,好處是會(huì)潛移默化去影響學(xué)生,激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)英語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)積極性。通過(guò)運(yùn)用聽(tīng)寫(xiě)訓(xùn)練不斷提高了學(xué)生英語(yǔ)的綜合能力,閱讀理解和寫(xiě)作能力也會(huì)有非凡的成就。
