POSTMAN OF THE SKY
A poem by Du Mu, a poet of the Tang dynasty (618-907), read: “A horse gallops across the land at full speed, and the concubine laughs. Who else knows it is lychees coming.” The famous poem tells the story of how lychees were painstakingly, if not cruelly, carried on horse back from
today’s Sichuan province to Chang’an, then capital of China, to please Yang Guifei, the favorite concubine of Emperor Xuanzong (685-762). It is just a pity that the era of air transport did not come earlier.

BENEFITS OF AIR CARGO TRANSPORT
1. Fast: the average cruise speed of aircraft, at 780+ km per hour, is at least twice as much as that of high-speed trains;
2. Safe: there is little chance that cargo may be stolen at the height of over 10,000 metres;
3. Easy: human labour and their costs are minimised thanks to partial automation of air cargo transport processes and the use of high-tech equipment.
航空貨運的優(yōu)勢
1.快速: 飛機平均巡航速度是780公里每小時以上,比高鐵速度快了至少一倍;
2.安全:飛機在萬米高空飛行,大大降低了偷盜情況發(fā)生的概率;
3.便捷: 貨運流程實現(xiàn)半自動化,全程多采用高科技設備,大大減輕了人力勞動成本。
