小學(xué)英語故事教學(xué)舉隅

針對現(xiàn)行小學(xué)英語教材的教學(xué)內(nèi)容大多情況下都是在進行單詞、句型、對話、歌曲等內(nèi)容而展開的教學(xué)活動，本人在教學(xué)活動中時常運用故事教學(xué)的方式展開教學(xué)。故事教學(xué)的目的是讓所學(xué)的內(nèi)容情節(jié)簡單特別是在小學(xué)中高年級英語教學(xué)中激發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)興趣、提高學(xué)習(xí)動機、滲透閱讀教學(xué)、理解情景創(chuàng)設(shè)。理解語言意義，體驗語言運用，感受讀故事的樂趣。

故事教學(xué)具有情境性和相對完整的意義，可以從語言學(xué)習(xí)本身看待故事，從故事自身的價值學(xué)習(xí)語言，讓學(xué)生們通過語境來理解詞、句、段、篇、章。

片段一： A Story about Tom's Grandfather

Every morning Tom's grandfather goes for a walk in the park and comes home at twelve for his lunch.

But one morning a police car stopped outside Tom's house,two policemen helped him get out. One of them said to Tom's father:“The poor old man lost his way in the park and telephone to us for help.”Tom asked his grandfather:“You have been to that park every day for twenty years, how did you lost your way today?”

The old man smiled,closed one eye and said:“I didn't lose my way,I just got tired and I didn't want to walk home.”

此故事為背誦而設(shè)計，通過在有限的時間壓力下在快速記憶中大量輸入語言，加強學(xué)生對語言知識的積累和鞏固，同樣對詞匯的掌握是不言而喻的。使這一傳統(tǒng)的學(xué)習(xí)方法變成一種學(xué)習(xí)的自覺性和主動性。

片段二：The Clever Cock

One day a hungry fox came to a cock and said,“Dear cock, what a wonderful singer you are!Can you sing a song for me?”

The cock shut his eyes and began to sing. Suddenly the fox snatched him with his mouth and carried him away.

The people of the village cried,“Look! Look! The fox is carrying off our cock!”

In time of great danger the cock's mind worked fast.He said to the fox,“Tell them quickly that it is yours, and not theirs!”

When the fox opened his mouth to speak, the cock flew from his mouth and into a tree.

The fox was very angry.He said to himself,“If I hadn't talked so much,I could have eaten that cock.”

此故事指導(dǎo)學(xué)生在略讀、猜測、尋讀及詳讀后在大腦中初步形成了主要情節(jié)和內(nèi)容，對人物對話和故事情節(jié)有了一定的理解，然后讓學(xué)生完成下列正誤判斷：

1. The fox shut his eyes and began to sing. ( )

2. The fox is carrying off their cock. ( )

3. Before the fox opened his mouth,the cock flew from his mouth ( )

4. The people caught the fox. ( )

5. The fox have eaten the cock. ( )

片段三：The Cat and the Bell

There were a lot of mice in a house.The man of the house got a cat.The cat killed manyof the mice.

Then the oldest mouse said,“All mice must come to my hole tonight, and we will think what we can do about this cat.”

All the mice came. Many mice spoke,but none knew what to do.

At last a young mouse stood up and said,“We must put a bell on the cat.Then when the cat comes near,we 'll hear the bell and run away and hide.So the cat will never catch any more mice.”

Then the old mouse asked,“Who will put the bell on the cat? ”

No mouse answered.

He waited;but still no one answered.

At last he said,“It is not hard to say things;but it is harder to do them.”

were是are的過去式，系動詞。

There be 句型表示某地（時）有……

a lot of 短語：許多，大量

mice時mouse的復(fù)數(shù)，名詞，‘老鼠’

got是動詞get的過去式

oldest形容詞的最高級，‘最老的，最年長的’

said動詞say的過去式‘說’的意思

tonight副詞，‘在今晚’

think動詞，‘想，考慮’

spoke動詞，speak的過去式，‘講’的意思

none代詞，‘沒有人’

knew動詞，know的過去式，‘知道’

stood動詞，stand的過去式‘站立’

stood up 短語‘站起來’

never 副詞‘從來不’

catch動詞‘抓住’

any more ‘永不，再也不’

answered 動詞answer的過去式，‘回答’

thing 名詞‘東西，事物’

them 代詞，they的賓格形式

詞匯教學(xué)是小學(xué)英語教學(xué)中的一個重點,但也是一個難點，掌握英語詞匯是故事教學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)和必經(jīng)之路，把故事中的詞匯短語等通過講解故事的方式對學(xué)生進行指導(dǎo)點撥，不僅可以使小學(xué)生積累豐富的詞匯，而且使故事教學(xué)輕松愉悅。◇
