Teaching aims:
Knowledge aims:
In this class, most of the students will:
1. learn the outline of the sample passage about a great woman.
2. learn some useful expressions and structures of describing a great woman;.
Ability aims:
the students will read the sample passage and learn how to describe a great woman by imitating the sample passage.
Emotional aims:
Arouse the students interest of great women and learn something from them.
Teaching important points:
Students will learn to analyze the outline of a sample passage and learn to write a composition of a great woman.

Step 1 Lead-in :
Enjoy some pictures and play a part of Roman Holidays and then talk about the famous actress and great woman Audrey Hepburn.
設(shè)計意圖:學(xué)生欣賞圖片并觀看一段羅馬假日電影片段,引入女主角奧黛麗赫本,通過圖片,讓學(xué)生了解到她不僅僅是一個演員還是一個偉大的女性,貼近話題。
Step 2 Pre-writing:
Activity 1. Fast reading
Ask the students to read the sample passage quickly and find out the main idea of
each paragraph, and match the main ideas with the paragraphs.
Para 1 A: Her jobs and her achievement.
Para 2 B: Assessment.
Para 3 C: Her family background and education.

設(shè)計意圖:通過閱讀,讓學(xué)生了解文章的篇章結(jié)構(gòu),為學(xué)生后面‘對偉大女性描寫做好整體性框架的把握。推導(dǎo)出描寫偉人一般的普遍的框架。
Activity2. Careful reading
Lead students to find out the some useful expressions and advanced sentence patterns through this passage.
設(shè)計意圖:讀細(xì)節(jié),讓學(xué)生從文章中找出相關(guān)詞組和句型結(jié)構(gòu),讓學(xué)生自己清晰意識到文章中的高級表達(dá)句型和短語,并從中學(xué)習(xí),為后面順利寫作進(jìn)行細(xì)節(jié)鋪墊。
Activity3. Analyze the writing material
Firstly, analyze the person and tense about the material. Secondly, divide the content into three parts according to the writing structure.
設(shè)計意圖:通過分析材料,讓學(xué)生近一步對寫作的要點(diǎn)把握準(zhǔn)確,為寫作做準(zhǔn)備。
Activity4. Introduce some words, phrases and sentence patterns and write some sentences.
設(shè)計意圖: 通過對另外一些詞匯,短語和句型地介紹,并對幾個句子的練習(xí),讓學(xué)生更好地把握對“偉大女性”的描寫,為寫作做準(zhǔn)備。
Step 3 While-Writing:
1.Ask the students to write a passage about Peng Liyuan within 10 minutes and invite a student to write his /her composition on the blackboard.
設(shè)計意圖:教師先批閱學(xué)生作文,起到示范的作用, 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生一起修改,把握對作文評分的要求,對自己以后寫作有幫助。
Step 5 Summary
Teacher guides students to make a summary.
設(shè)計意圖:讓學(xué)生對今天所學(xué)知識再次做一個復(fù)習(xí),加深印象。
Step 6 Homework:
1.Write the final draft after proof-reading it yourself.
2.Exchange your passage with your partner and comment them with marks.
設(shè)計意圖:交換批改同伴的文章,通過欣賞其他同學(xué)的文章,鞏固今天所學(xué)知識,通過關(guān)注和發(fā)現(xiàn)同伴寫作中的優(yōu)秀的句子和出現(xiàn)錯誤的地方,進(jìn)一步幫助和提醒學(xué)生更好地寫作。
