1.Once upon a time there lived a fox in a forest. He was very cunning. 很久以前，有一只狐貍住在森林里，他非常狡猾。

2.One night the fox got hungry. He went to a nearby village to look for food. 有一天晚上，狐貍很餓，他來到附近的村莊尋找食物。

3.The dogs in that village did not like the fox. They chased the fox out of the village. 村莊里的狗不喜歡狐貍，他們就追著狐貍跑，要把他趕出村莊。

4.The fox ran fast to save his life. While running， he found a huge pot next to a house. 狐貍為了保命，跑得很快。在跑的過程中，他發(fā)現(xiàn)在一所房屋邊上有一個(gè)很大的罐子。

5."That would be the perfect place to hide，" the fox said to himself. When he jumped into the pot， the fox discovered that the pot was filled with blue water. “那真是個(gè)絕佳的躲避地點(diǎn)?！焙倢ψ约赫f。當(dāng)他跳進(jìn)罐子的時(shí)候，狐貍發(fā)現(xiàn)罐子里裝滿了藍(lán)色的水。

6.When the fox jumped out of the pot， his whole body was blue. The dogs saw the blue fox and were scared because they had never seen a blue fox. The dogs ran away. 當(dāng)狐貍跳出罐子的時(shí)候，他整個(gè)身體都是藍(lán)色的。狗看到了藍(lán)色的狐貍，嚇壞了，因?yàn)樗麄儚膩頉]見過藍(lán)色的狐貍。狗跑開了。

7.The fox was happy that the dogs ran away. He slowly walked back to the forest and slept near a river. 狗跑開了，狐貍很開心。他慢悠悠地走回森林，在河邊睡著了。

8.When he woke the next morning， the fox saw his reflection in the river. He was still blue. 第二天早晨，當(dāng)他醒來，狐貍在河邊看到他的倒影，他還是藍(lán)色的。

9.When the forest animals saw the blue fox， they were frightened. They had never seen such a strange animal. 當(dāng)森林里的動物們看到藍(lán)狐貍，他們都很害怕。他們從來沒見過這么奇怪的動物。

10.The lions， tigers， wolves and all the other animals ran when they saw the blue fox. This gave the clever fox an idea！"I will play a trick on the animals to become the king of the forest，" he said to himself. 當(dāng)看到藍(lán)狐貍時(shí)，獅子、老虎、狼、還有其他的動物都倉皇而逃。這讓這只聰明的狐貍想到了一個(gè)主意?！拔乙鷦游飩兏銈€(gè)小把戲，我要成為森林之王，”他對自己說。

11.He called all the animals and said： "The goddess of the forest sent me to be the king of this forest. So you must crown me as the king." 他召集了所有的動物，然后說：“森林女神派我來當(dāng)森林之王。所以，你們必須給我加冕為王?！?/p>

12.The animals believed what the fox said. The next day they made him the king of the forest. 動物們相信狐貍所說的話。第二天，他們就讓他成為了森林之王。

13.The loin was appointed as the fox's minister. The tiger became his body guard. The wolf hunted for food to feed the new king. 獅子被任命為狐貍的大臣。老虎成了他的保鏢，狼為新王捕獵食物。

14.With so many animals to serve him， the cunning fox lived happily for many days. 有這么多動物為他服務(wù)，這狡猾的狐貍過了好多天的逍遙日子。

15.Then one night the full-moon was shining up in the sky. Far away， the other foxes in the forest howled as they usually do on full-moon nights. 有一天晚上，圓圓的月亮高懸在天空。遠(yuǎn)處，森林里其他的狐貍像他們往常所做的那樣，在月圓之夜嚎叫。

16.The blue fox heared the howling and could not keep quiet. He howled， too. 藍(lán)狐貍聽到了嚎叫聲，也不能保持安靜，他也嚎叫。

17.When the loin， tiger， wolf and other animals heared him howling， they realized that their king was just a fox. They know that the fox had tricked them. The angry animals chased the fox out of the forest. 當(dāng)獅子、老虎、狼和其他動物聽到他的嚎叫聲，他們就知道了，他們的王原來就是只狐貍。他們知道狐貍捉弄了他們。憤怒的動物們追趕著狐貍，把他趕出了森林。

18.The fox never came back but he learned an important lesson： Be yourself. Do not try to be someone else. 狐貍再也沒回來，但是，他也學(xué)到了最重要的一課：做自己，不要試圖去假裝別人。
