Step 1. Warm up

S: Did you ride your bike?

T: Yes, you are so clever. I like riding very much, because I think its very healthy. Its a very “green” exercise. (PPT展示騎自行車的圖片,接著呈現(xiàn)霧霾圖片)

T: Why should we ride bikes?

S: Because of the PM2.5

Step 2 .Presentation

T: What is the PM 2.5? In Chinese is 霧霾. Now the PM2.5 is so heavy. Lets watch some pictures carefully and tell me what things you can see in the pictures. (Show some pictures)

S: I can see some animals, theyre in danger.

S2: I can see the sky is dark.

S3: I can see some water, theyre dirty.

S4: I can see the trees; they are cut down by people.

S5: The earth is in danger. Animals are in danger.

T: Yes, and also this (PPT 展示滿地塑料袋塑料瓶的圖片)。

T: So today were going to learn” Protect the earth”.

T: First, Lets listen to the story and answer the question:

S2: We should reuse and save it.

T: Wonderful, boys and girls. Now lets listen to the tape and read after it.(學(xué)生跟錄音朗讀)

教授第二部分Save energy

T: Now we know water is useful, what about energy? Please read and choose.

T: Now lets find out why we should save energy and how to save it.

讓學(xué)生朗讀第二部分并畫出原因(Why do we save energy?)及方法(How do we save energy?),讓學(xué)生回答。

S: Because there is not much coal and oil on earth.

S: We should not drive so much because cars use a lot of energy.

T: Yes, so I think we can ride bikes or on foot. Now lets listen to the tape and read after it. (學(xué)生跟讀錄音)

T: Now we know water and energy are important, what else?

S: Trees.

T: Yes, now please read by yourselves and then you can check with your partner.

S1: Where does wood come from?

S2: Wood comes from trees. We use wood to make tables, chairs and many other things.

S3: We should not cut down trees.

T: Why should we not cut too many trees?

S4: Because trees help keep the air clean.

T: Perfect, now lets try to fill in the blanks, boys and girls.

Step 3 . Consolidation.

T: “Protect the earth” speech time is coming; here are the tips.

小組合作,每組選擇文中的一個(gè)小主題.(可以借助板書)

T: We should protect the earth because the earth is our mother. We live in the earth together, so we should protect her.
