Xu Peijin won the design award for the special gift dedicated to Chinese sports delegation who attended the 24th Olympics in Seoul, South Korea in 1988. At that time, he didnt expect that he would step into the stage of Chinese landscape paintings from the areana of design, not to mention the outstanding achievements he gained today. Many of his artworks are characterized by Chinese Zen sense and collected by famous museums. Appreciating his artworks, you can feel his philosophy of life.
1988年,當即將從浙江美院工藝系畢業(yè)的徐佩瑾,攬獲第24屆漢城奧運會中國體育代表團專用禮品設計大獎時,他也許沒有想過,日后會踏上一條相較設計更為自我的山水繪畫之路。
中國畫與其他兄弟造型藝種,存在著皮相近似而本質疏離的界限,我觀佩瑾數年畫作,感覺畫里流露出來的智慧。他的寫生稿本中,有摹大明山奇松峻柏者,行筆飛揚,滿幅華彩,足見其勾陳功夫。他卻自忖造姿為勝,若石濤所指:名山許游未許畫,畫若似之山必怪。不必急于示人,乃藏之畫匧,有力而弱,有能不矜,或能廢貪忘癡,直取中道。
也因之如是,當聽說徐佩瑾開始選擇禪境山水作為母題時,我覺得他找到了一個自適的修煉道場。 黃山谷曾云:天下清景,不擇賢愚而與之,然吾特疑端為我輩設。長期世俗化的技法盤摩以及景觀化的寺院游歷,使得當代畫人在表達禪意時,容易耽于手眼,著其實相。從這個意義上來說,畫上欲得禪意,亦須通會蘊含著變通智慧的禪宗之基底。如參話頭及八萬四千法門之說,修行之法既因人而異,圖繪之事若之?!督饎偨洝酚性疲呵f嚴佛土者,即非莊嚴,是名莊嚴,所言眾生者,即非眾生,是名眾生。
徐佩瑾的系列作品,如果能多看幾幅,會發(fā)現他更注重虛寫。如僧侶往往不事五官,純如剪影;景物大多用破墨點染,有些揮灑到極致處,生法無定相之意,云影天光,真趣彌漫;虛空舞蹈,如樂如歌。高度概括的造型與果斷留空的構成背后,是他中年歷練與自省之深度積淀。品禪畫的味道大概最好是此中有真意,欲辨已忘言?!叭胗谌苏咧辽睿杏谑酪灿葟V”,王國維此語,可以視作人文學者的每個實踐節(jié)點上,有所成就與有所缺憾的基礎動因。我相信佩瑾在這個題材上面,如果保持起步時的初心,還能得到持續(xù)的純化和創(chuàng)見。
目佩瑾筆下人物,并非天生沙彌,凡人遁入空門,求清凈求解脫求法求學者皆有之,如我輩之習繪術,均有所求而致。余謂畫法之于畫學,猶佛法之于佛學,法與學的門徑差池,除了身份的不同,還在于法貴精專而學尚博約,故求法者有時會精進到一葉障目,不易變通;而治學者容易迷戀解釋,太過圓融,則失之于寬,此處的寬,不是寬容,是寬泛。故此,我們面對不大熟悉的作者和作品,假使能暫時擱置經驗性的視覺桎梏,虛其懷抱,更多依賴觀看的直覺反應,靜故了群動,空故納萬境,也許可以讓作者隱藏于畫面中的意味更多呈現。此際,有如荷爾德林的詩句中所述:一旦外表被極度隔絕,適應性便在人之中彰顯。
這也是我在欣賞佩瑾作品時的一點領悟。
Xu Peijin, Chinese senior craft artist, was born in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province and graduated from the senior class of landscape paintings in China Academy of Art. Now he is a guest professor of China Academy of Art, researcher of Zhejiang Modern Chinese Painting Institute, member of Hangzhou Artists Association, member of Council of Zhejiang Arts and Crafts Society, etc. He has participated in various exhibitions and won grand prizes.
徐佩瑾,浙江紹興人,高級工藝美術師,曾致力于平面設計,畢業(yè)于中國美術學院山水畫高級研究班。作品多次獲獎并被多家機構收藏。曾在杭州、紹興、長興等地多次舉辦個人畫展,編有多本個人專輯。
