Jiangxi Discovered a Large Tungsten Mine Which May Create the World’s Largest Tungsten Mineral Deposit Reserve Record
It has been learned from the Jiangxi Province Geological and Mineral Resource Bureau Work Conference for 2015 held on January 21 that, the Zhuxi Tungsten and Copper Mine Project confirmed by the bureau at Fuliang County in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi in 2014 might create the world’s largest tungsten deposit reserve record.
According to Peng Zezhou, Director of Jiangxi Province Geological and Mineral Resource Bureau, in 2014 this bureau continued to make breakthroughs in the prospecting of key mineral varieties including copper, tungsten, iron, lead-zinc, rare earth, fluorite, kaoline, and geothermal energy, proved or preliminarily proved 6 large-size mineral deposits, 11 medium-size mineral deposits, and 21 small-size mineral deposits, with potential economic value of RMB 105 billion yuan.
Peng Zezhou said, Jingdezhen Fuliang County Zhuxi Tungsten and Copper Mine Project had partially confirmed more than 1 million tonnes of tungsten reserve, and 300,000 tonnes of copper resource volume, featuring good exploration prospects, and high grade, it might even create the world’s largest tungsten mineral deposit reserve record. The prospecting in Jiujiang Copper Mine and Ruichang Copper Mine is expected to submit 1.50 million tonnes of copper resource volume, making it the best result in copper mine prospecting in the recent 30 years in Jiangxi.
Jiangxi is a famous “Hometown of nonferrous metal” in China, with superior ore-forming conditions. Following the discovery and proving of Wuning Dahutang Tungsten Mine, the world’s largest 1,060,000 tonnes tungsten mine, in Jiangxi several years ago, Jingdezhen Fuliang Zhuxi Tungsten and Copper Mine is a large tungsten and copper mine project discovered by Jiangxi Geological and Mineral Resource Bureau for the second time.
