音樂和美術(shù)能深入而細致地表達人們各種內(nèi)在情感,它有時甚至比文學作品更具有感染力。在英語教學中適當借助音樂美術(shù)的手段,可以創(chuàng)造濃郁的藝術(shù)氛圍,創(chuàng)設良好的審美物境和審美心境,培養(yǎng)、提高學生對文學作品的理解能力和審美能力。
定語從句是高中英語教學的難點也是重點。每次上語法課,都比較枯燥乏味,無法吸引學生的興趣。這學期,我嘗試將音樂與美術(shù)融入課堂,讓學生輕松愉快地掌握這個語法項目。
“素胚勾勒出青花筆鋒濃轉(zhuǎn)淡,瓶身描繪的牡丹一如你初妝……”熟悉的旋律響起,周杰倫的《青花瓷》回蕩在教室上空,不少學生跟著哼唱起來。稍過片刻,我按了暫停鍵,要求學生翻譯這個句子:“天青色等煙雨,而我在等你?!蔽乙贿吿嵝褜W生思考,一邊在黑板上寫下這兩個句子:The clouds which were gloomy and dark meant the coming rain while the person who was depressed and lonely was waiting for you.大家的目光都集中到了黑板上。我告訴他們,這就叫做由關(guān)系代詞who引導的定語從句,用一個句子來修飾一個詞,被修飾的詞就叫做先行詞。緊接著,我用PPT展示了周杰倫的照片,讓他們填上關(guān)系詞:He is a popular singer song is popular among young people. He is a famous singer is from Taiwan.這個簡單的warming-up后,學生對定語從句產(chǎn)生了興趣。接下來,我出示一些只能用關(guān)系代詞that引導的定語從句的練習題。這些練習幫助學生復習了初中的語法知識,也讓他們對定語從句有了基本的認識。
下一步,講授這節(jié)課的重點內(nèi)容——關(guān)系副詞引導的定語從句。首先講授的是關(guān)系副詞where引導的定語從句。我播放熟悉的兒歌“太陽天空照,花兒對我笑,小鳥說,早早早,你為什么背著小書包。我去上學校,從來不遲到,愛學習, 愛勞動,長大要為人民立功勞?!蔽医o學生展示了一幅小學生去學校的圖片,并讓他們把這兩個句子合為一句:The school is near a park. My son studies in this school.→ The school where my son studies is near a park.緊接著,我展示了兩幅熟悉的畫面,潮州西湖公園和牌坊街,并讓學生給下列句子填上引導詞。I still remembered the park where I lost my wallet. This is the park that I visited yesterday. Have you been to the street you can find yummy food? Have you been to the street was rebuilt two years ago?
下一個知識點是關(guān)系副詞when引導的定語從句。我點擊鼠標,播放《七子之歌》,展示香港回歸中英兩國交接儀式的圖片,讓學生把這兩個句子合并成一個句子。Theyll never forget July 1. Hong Kong returned to its motherland on July 1.→ Theyll never forget July 1 when Hong Kong returned to its motherland.接下來,我又展示了兩幅溫暖的畫面,一幅是兩個玩具木偶背靠背坐在大樹下,一幅是年輕的媽媽抱著稚嫩的嬰兒,請學生填引導詞。The days when we lived together happily are gone forever. Have you remembered the days you were a baby in your mums arms? Do you know the baby was in her mums arms?
下一張圖片是幼兒園小朋友在玩耍,并配上twins的《幼稚園》:“記得那一天,在那一天,初次上學堂,從前渡每分鐘,身邊也有,父母在旁。”我請前三排的同學給這三個句子填上引導詞。Have you remembered the days
you stayed in the kindergarten? Have you forgotten the place you played all day without studying? Have you thought of the place was filled with laughter and tears? 與此同時,我讓后三排的同學翻譯這句歌詞,并挑選了兩個同學到黑板板書:Have you remembered the day when you began school? Have you remembered the time when your parents were with you day and night?
接下來要講的是關(guān)系副詞why引導的定語從句。我播放了《泰坦尼克號》片段,看到大船撞到冰山上,學生們都惋惜的叫了起來。我在黑板上寫下這個句子,讓他們填上引導詞:Do you know the reason the ship crashed into the iceberg? The reason the accident happened remained a mystery.
通過這些環(huán)節(jié)的講述,學生基本明白了關(guān)系副詞引導定語從句的用法,我?guī)椭鴮W生把這些知識點歸納成表格。(見下頁表格)
下一個環(huán)節(jié),我讓左面三組的學生一邊聽古典樂曲《春江花月夜》,一邊把剛才聽過的感受深刻的歌詞翻譯為定語從句。同時,我讓宣傳委員到黑板上隨便畫一個小動物,請他們組的同學圍繞這個小動物寫一個定語從句。這位同學畫了一只憂傷的狐貍躲在籠子里。同學們讀出自己的句子:The cage where the fox stayed was broken./ The reason why the fox felt upset was that he couldnt live with his families. / The fox missed the days when he played with friends. 接下來讓左面三組的同學讀自己翻譯的歌詞:The reason why I go to school is that I want to make contributions to our motherland. / Its a wonderful morning when the sun is shining brightly and flowers are smiling happily. / I missed my dear motherland which I have been away for nearly 300 years.有學生寫:What they robbed was my body but my devoted heart still belongs to my motherland.我笑著糾正他,這個不是定語從句,而是主語從句。通過這個環(huán)節(jié),學生對語言的感受更加豐富。
這節(jié)課的最后3分鐘,我用PPT展示了夕陽西下Jim & Rose在船頭擁抱的劇照,并播放“My heart will go on”,讓學生用關(guān)系詞把下面的短文連接起來。They were Jack and Rose fell in love with each other at first sight. Jack met his sweetheart in the ship was extreme beautiful and splendid. Rose will never forget the afternoon they stood on the ship with the setting sun. The ship Jack drew picture for her will be in her memory forever. The ship
the boy fell down into the sea made her heart break. The true love is the most precious thing exists in this world.
